Do y'all think a Japanese or Korean comeback is next?

I feel with all the Japanese content we've been getting it will be Japanese first then afterwards a Korean comeback

However I'm not sure. It could be the other way around too🤔

Do you have a preference?

I agree that it looks like they may be preparing for Japanese promotions.

Personally, I'd like a Korean comeback; but I'm fine with whatever gets them more attention.

OT: Holy smokes! The entirety of IZ & X1? Geez...

Usually i'm the type that say a group should establish themselves first in Korea before going to Japan. Especially girl groups since they heavily depend on their Korean fanbase. However as long OTR don't neglect Korean comebacks (which they didn't with IZ) then things should be fine.

Since Fromis seem to have a lot of popularity and potential in Japan, then now might be a good time to dive in.

OT: yeahhh it's worse then i thought too😫

If there's a positive from this long hiatus, it's that Nagyung's scalp gets to recover and hopefully she goes back to darker hair.

[DAZED] The 20 best K-pop songs of 2019

#20 - FUN! 🎉

"If there was one thing that 2019 didn't have a lot of, it was fun - but fromis_9 delivered three minutes of escapism with this premium bubblegum pop. To achieve this, it uses smart touches, like the bass that purposefully tips over itself on the opening bars, giving it an off-kilter feel that's emphasized by a sublimely silly faux-advertisement video. The girls' rhythmic delivery gleams with precision, the beat pelt across it like a summer rainstorm, and the short acapella run on the bridge sets up a packed outro. It verges on overload, but when a song is so confident of itself that the ace - a starburst chorus - is thrown on the table a mere eight seconds in, you only need to acknowledge only one thing: resistance is futile."

Spoiler

This is not fromis first time to make a appearance on the list. Last year Love Bomb ranked #12

Cool to see Fun! make it into a top 20, (even if it was not my cup of tea).

I feel like a lot people in the industry that follow Kpop are rooting for them. So tho Fun most likely is not everyone cup of tea either, they'll still include them to support.

Many can see the great potential in Fromis (like we Flovers)

Fromis as a group has everything going for them. Visuals, group dynamics, character, talent, and etc. They have so much potential!  OTR management really is key to propelling them to higher places✈️

I'm all for any and all support for fromis. For sure they have a ton of potential. For me they are the total package.

Even though they've been idols for the better part of two years now, and some of them had been trainees, when they debuted they were pretty much "regular" kids.

I think that struck my metal/hardcore kid sensitivities and made me like them and want them to succeed all the more.

Exactly!

A group of girls next door. Like they still have so much to learn. Being able to watch them grow through their careers is what makes them special. As you said, makes us root for them. Want them to succeed. When they gradually accomplish different bigger things, it will feel even more special since we know where they started.

(My 15 minute journey...🐣)

So I was curious about the PekepON! thing. I assumed it was related to Mnet. I was thinking, "this is great Mnet is still pushing Fromis" on their related content - even after the big reveal about the other Mnet groups.

I was wrong.

First off, PekepON! seems to be a newer Kpop and Korean information site for Japanese fans of Kpop. Blogs about food, fashion, original artist content and more.

One page on the site mentions M-On. Of course, I had absolutely no idea what that was, again I thought it was related to Kpop and Mnet's MタメBANG! (fromis have done interviews before). I couldn't find a Wikipedia page which would of made things easier. Searched 'M-on Kpop' on twitter led me to エムオン!K-POP and 韓ON! BOX!! Rather then Mnet, I see Music Bank (KBS), Show Champion(MBC) MMA (Melon) MGA (MBC X Genie).

I decided to look at PekepON follower list, saw MUSIC ON! TV(エムオン!)M-ON! MUSIC NEWS, and M-ON! MUSIC. All mainly Japanese music related.

So PekepON! is Japanese owned not Korean. MUSIC ON! TV(エムオン!) seemed to be the main umbrella account base on followers. Google searched of the name led me to Wikipedia page. And finally I had full information I can understand in English! Don't have to use a translator site to trans Japan to Eng.🤧

Music On! TV, also known as M-On!, is a Japanese music cable television network operated by M-On Entertainment, Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment Japan, Inc. (SMEJ).
