With the arrest of the producers of Mnet's "Produce" series, the police investigation into "Idol School" is speeding up.

Police will summon the producers and other officials in charge of the Mnet audition program "Idol School" as soon as they finish analyzing confiscated data.

The Idol School, which aired in 2017, is another audition program for Mnet, which makes the girl group debut by survival for individual trainees without an agency. Through "Idol School," nine-member group "Fromis_9" debuted the following year.  

Since the controversy over rigging the "Produce X101" vote earlier, the "Idol School" has also been suspected of voting. In September, a fact-finding committee made up of "Idol School" viewers filed a complaint with police on charges of voting related to the number of paid text votes, alleged manipulation of the counting process and swindling the program's producers.

Police raided CJ ENM, located in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, in September and October to secure data on the alleged "idol school." During the raid, police reportedly obtained data that could prove the vote rigging.

Meanwhile, the Seoul Central District Court issued arrest warrants for Ahn Joon-young of the "Produce" series and Kim Yong-beom of CJ ENM, who are accused of fraud and other charges on July 5. In particular, the impact is growing as producer Ahn Joon-young admitted to manipulating the rankings of "Produce 48" and "Produce X101" on SBS's "News" on Wednesday.

yea right now they just suspect and might have something. still reviewing the data

hopefully they release whatever asap. i'm ready for all of this to be over. unlike the other groups fromis is not a temporary group

the sooner we can put this behind us the faster the fandom and fromis can try to heal and move forward

idol school wasn't even popular. 

the producers/director/teachers should of been in charge of evaluating and picking the final line up

there's was no need for a voting component with unpopular show

now fromis is going through all of this mess. for a show that barely helped them with their popularity in the first place

The thing is fromis trainees don't have agencies and all of them were offered a CJ contract while the show was airing so their case is different from PRODUCE series

I agree fromis case is different. this is something I've been trying to make a point of all over OH too.
I'm glad knetz at least are no longer mixing the two together..right now...
For fromis sake, hopefully nothing is found about there being another contestant who was suppose to be in thee group. I think that's what got people not supporting x1 and izone anymore recently. Tho Fromis been gradually rising, they're already struggling. So something like that would hurt them to much. I don't even know if they'll survive. People are already taking x1 and izone off their shows. And now there are petitions for them to disband. Fromis is a permanent group, so it would be heartbreaking for them disband over something that wasn't in their control.

Someone said something about the 11th, but I see the media are already starting to release articles about Producer. ughh I just want answers now. I'm ready to move on

Rigged or not...Personally I've always only been here for the final line up. It's why I stan. I don't watch survival shows because I know it's not 100%. I've always assumed the shows are mostly for hype and buzz. I wait till the group debut with the final line up before I get invested (stan).

Hey! Back after a while; finally got some free time... Absolutely apropos of nothing in particular:

I've been listening to a lot of fromis_9 recently, (more than usual), and my word, the emotion, earnestness, and "vulnerability", (for lack of a better word), in the girls' singing is something else. I think it's very rare in all of kpop. For example, at the end of Glass Shoes, and at the end of Love Bomb...like I sometimes feel a lump in my throat, and I'm not a very emotional person. Anyway, wish more people would appreciate. Cheers!

Yes, their talented is very underrated. Fromis has worked hard since the beginning and have grown so much!

There's something special and really genuine about Fromis. Personally I like being able to see a underdog grow and improve. It's so much more meaningful.
