@Didact Taleh One's twitter experience can be good or bad depending on they follow. I use twitter mostly for updates not for discussions. Forums like OH are a lot more suitable for me. The few times I've been tempted and got into a heated discussion have been crazy and chaotic lol ><. So I try to avoid big debates on Twitter. The limited characters isn't helpful either.

2) Yup. Thing is I thought I was giving a fairly accurate, if somewhat tongue-in-cheek, description of some ongoings with kpop fans. But my bad habit of calling everyone kids, (kpop kids, metal kids, even my supervisor), did not sit too well with members of a particular fandom. Anyway, we resolved things peacefully, but some of them were revving. Fun times.

Even though I'm unsure what the Douyin account is about, I welcome more c-flovers. Chinese fans tend to be very dedicated.

More fanmeets abroad would be awesome.

The vogue girl jp thing makes me wonder, in addition to Nakyung redying her hair and the girls saying they're not preparing for a comeback, if OTR is still trying to make the JP debut happen before anything else.

Right about the hair. I'm not sure how the schedule would look. It depends on how much priority OTR has given to the JP debut in relation to other things.

The magazine thing could've just been the editor's decision too, like "oh that fromis group looks summery, let's put it in and ask for permission to use the pics." 

We're forced to speculate since OTR remains silent. If OTR is adamant about the JP debut, that seems ill-advised since Japan still has not removed SK from its travel-ban list. Yet, it seems there is no indication of a Korean comeback. To me that seems like Aug or Sept for K cb at the earliest, if no JP.

Time's ticking though, at some point fans will start moving on.

Yeah... they could have just made one compilation video called "Channel_9 Last Transmission" or "Season End" or something.

I wasn't expecting anything related to a comeback, but the way they did it was kind of kicking us while we're down.

Yeah, I also think they could pull off the To.Heart sound without the school girl image (not that they'll actually do it though). To me To.Heart is pop-rock and not inherently "school-girl." SNSD with Way to Go is a good example. I think Gfriend with Navillera and Fingertip is a good example of a group that matured but didn't discard their earlier (To.Heartish) sound.

Now let's say fromis is past the point of integrating To.Heart-like-sound and are intent on pursuing the Love Bomb formula. I think there ought to be no rush to be "girl-crush" (whatever that means)  because there are ways to pursue a more mature Love Bomb-esque style. 

I've said before that to me Love Bomb can naturally lead to concepts/sound like T-Ara's Sexy Love, Rainbow's Mach, SNSD's Hoot, or Kara's Mister/Step It Up, which is a musical space that remains empty in this generation of groups, except for April's LaLaLiLaLa or Izone maybe. (If you ask me Love Bomb is closer to Sexy Love).

And a MATURE mature fromis for me would approximate SNSD's Run Devil Run, Kara's Pandora, or Dreamcatcher's Silent Night/Scream.

I'd be happy with either the pop-rock or the electro-pop though. (But no more Fun§ for me, thank you).

@satoori That's a fair assessment. Good points.

Just one clarification, I should've written "Gfriend with the example of the progression with Navillera and Fingertip" where Navi serves as a mid-point between school-girl and young lady (FT), that retains important elements of Rough/Navi.

One thing I hope they don't do is the "teen-crush" thing or whatever Itzy and their imitators have been doing, unless it's more like Wannabe (which is mostly okay, I guess).

It's tricky trying to anticipate what they'll do next. I do think it's high time to show fromis_9's dancing skills properly, though.

I absolutely agree with that. I want to see more dancing. I also think with most of them being in their 20s and being top visuals with great bodies it's time to show that off too but in a classy and elegant way. But we'll see! 

I agree that they'll most likely stick to girly-pop for now, in wanting to stay within a concept range. I find it interesting though that OTR has already let Yujin (and Wonyoung) do "sexyish" thing with IZ and they are younger than Jiheon (I do think there are other dynamics at play there, but that's beside the point for now).

Yeah, fromis_9 are aesthetically endowed of face and form. I think a good choreography and outfits would be a great way to demonstrate their endowments and skills.

I think OTR may be aiming for a soft (online only) JP predebut that wouldn't interfere with the KR comeback I think they're (finally) preparing for.
