But all the other music awards like the AMAs (which used to be important, but not anymore), the VMAs, and the BBMAs are irrelevant. For acting there's the Oscars, wich are the most prestigious. And then the Emmys and Golden Globes which are pretty important too. I think its because actors are more respected than musicians in general. But there are a TON of award shows in South Korea. (MAMA too though but well) Still, the greatest joke of them all has to be the AAAs. lmao that award show was a trip. MAMA is only a thing for i-Fans, Gaon gives 98458945 awards and happens too late in the year so nobody cares, Melon and SMA are too biased for digitals/physicals, and KMA is nugu.
