Is Western Pop Music Better Than K-Pop atm?

Of course without a doubt Exo will certainly surely save K-pop and cure world hunger as well as give us another reason to live in our miserable lives, but overall the west has given us bops like these

Meanwhile kpop on the other hand:

America has it's fair share of trash as well such as Bad Liar, and all of Katy's songs and the atrocity known as The Chainsmokers, but in your opinion which was better this year?

I got, I got, I got, I got

Loyalty, got royalty inside my DNA
Cocaine quarter piece, got war and peace inside my DNA
I got power, poison, pain and joy inside my DNA
I got hustle though, ambition, flow, inside my DNA

I don't really compare different musical genres much, they all have a few truly excellent original artists at the top, a bunch of mediocre ones that you love if you love the genre and then a lot of pretty awful stuff.

I haven't found anything like Kendrick in kpop. But there isn't anyone like Kendrick in the west either.

Western pop music can be pretty banal, ridiculous and meaningless, but sometimes it has a rawness and ingenuity that can touch a chord pretty deep. I've been obsessed with Kesha's "Praying" since it came out.

I love the brightness of Kpop, the choreography, but there hasn't been a lot that hit me that deep.
