What would you do and how would you feel in these different scenarios?

If you were caught with somebody else's bf/gf in a situation that could make their significant other misunderstand, would you quickly explain the situation IF there was nothing between you and that person and it was just a matter of bad timing? Or would you just do nothing and let that person explain it themselves to their angry bf/gf? 

 

On the flipside, would you be upset if you were the one in the relationship and the other person did not bother to help explain/clear up the situation??

 

If you were the bf/gf who caught the situation, would you want that other person to help your bf/gf explain the what happened?

 

Note that in all of these situations, there aren't any romantic feelings between the two people who got 'caught'. It just happened to be a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

no one would be angry and there would be no explaining to do if there was trust in the relationship in the first place anyway

As long as there's a thorough explanation and there was no actual cheating involved, you should be fine. But in the end, it all depends on the reaction of your/their partner upon seeing you two.

I've been in that situation before and just talked it out with her BF, he was cool about it and we became friends later on.

 

In the other two cases i'd prolly be disappointed if the third person would just stay quiet and not even attempt to explain anything, kinda makes them seem guilty.
