WHY are I.O.I fans and WANNABLES Fighting!?

I'm a fan of both. But of course I've grown more attached to I.O.I through their months of hardwork... I loved the idea of boys participating this time around because Why Not.

Wanna One is already on pre-debut phase and a lot of snooty fans are downplaying I.O.I's success which basically kinda paved the flower road for Produce 101 Season 2. They're like brother-sister groups like SVT-Pristin. I'm sure Wanna One still has a lot to show too so I hope IOI fans get a grip of their frustrations and don't blame it too much on Wanna One.

I guess this is usual KPOP mess... on top of usual mnet mess...

edit: It was just a general observation

It goes both ways tbh.. I feel like a lot of season 1/ IOI fans wanted this season to flop and later got pressed it didn't.. I remember some of them fighting on the thread about "Never" all-kill talking about how they lack "public recognition" and the song will drop because it's only fans streaming using last season's "downloads" .. It's time to move on tbh.. The girls had their time and now it's the boys turn and it will be over in 18 months... There is no need to fight..

I thought the same but then i saw this on twitter and i have to comeback to this thread

I think it's obvious ymc didnt really promote i.o.i that well because they didn't think i.o.i would do that well so ymc trying to milk as much from the boys version now that they saw how profitable it is. That's what i think, no hate

actually ioi fans not hate wanna one, why we should hate them? when i see on twitter, mostly ioi fans hate on YMC, bcs they give ioi and wanna one different treatment, and again, the hate for ymc start from dream girls era, haha

It's embarassing fighting over small things like that, i have seen many ioi fans complain to YMC twitter about unfair treatment for the girls and their fans. But it's to YMC not the boys..

I wouldnt use twitter as prove fans fighting, everyday all kpop fans fighting there.

(some) season 1 fans are pretentious and (some) season 2 fans are ignorant, everyone should just chill bc it shouldn't be that serious

if the seasons were reversed (boys s1, girls s2) the same fights would be happening but the opposite. don't take kpop so personally

I think this always happen between sunbae and hoobae groups' fans. No need to pay attention.

W1 has tendency to downplay I0I's success, as a lot don't even watch ss1 so they don't understand how things changed and take benefit W1's having now for granted. While I0I fans look at W1 kids as less capable, too much mediaplay-ed, boring etc., thou it might not be the case as W1 didn't even debut yet 0u0plz.png

IOI did super well and W1 would be doing well too as both ride popularity of a nation's TV show, both are chosen by "national producers" so ofc they're nation's bg/gg. Btw both disband in the end so what's the meaning of fighting anw. Better worried how your biases will do post IOI/W1 era harharplz.png

look at the IOI thread

none of them have a problem with wanna one

n i don't think anyone in that thread want the show to failed

some of us just saying we probably was not gonna watch it (mostly IOI fanboy)

most of IOI fans have a problem with YMC because of the different in treatment

for me personally

as long as they won't make downpour as their song

n not trashing IOI i don't have problem with wanna one

n yes i was quite disappointed too with the different in contract/treatment from YMC

that's all
