I've had Korean food and had to reach for water/milk when eating tteokbokki and spicy tofu soup at a normal spicy level, and I'm someone who likes to put sriracha on her food and can tolerate some wasabi. But I've had some Sichuan food and the foods I've tried (mapo tofu, kung pao chicken before I went vegetarian) weren't that spicy to me at all?
