Should Sungmin try to become a solo artist?

I want him to (want him to join suju in their comeback tbh) but there's a chance he won't be successful because of k-elfs and the hate he's getting from them. But I'm sure international fans would support if not korean fans but he sort of needs the support in korea to be successful in korea.

No, he should stick to musicals. Hopefully he held on to a lot of those touring millions.

He should write the SM tell-all we all want and have it translated to all languages, then he could buy SM and....okay enough.

He still would get a lot of hate, so I'm not too sure as to how that would work out.

Plus I don't think his following would be big enough to go solo successfully.

He was my bias in sj back when they first debuted, but I'm not really sure if he's solo material

It would be difficult for him. Almost all the Super Junior solos, from what I recall, aside from Kyuhyun's debut, fared rather mediocrely. Sungmin would basically have to start from level zero as he would not have much Korean support, and hardly any public support, if he were to go solo. Additionally, I'm uncertain if SM would give him that kind of offer - and if he were to leave, whether another company would sign him with the intention of debuting him as a soloist.

Musicals should be what he puts his mind and energy to.

as far as i want him to going solo but he cant. he have no support from their korean fanbase. even KRY who had support, they dont do well.

maybe he could release a station single but for solo album thats just impossible for now.

he need to stick to musical, he is quite succesfull musical actor. beside super junior sungmin he is known as musical actor lee sungmin. he had around 7 different musical under his belt so i think he would do well in that area.

the thing is he should find another good musical production. bcs tbh im a bit disappointed when he choose boys over flower as his first project after discharge bcoz he could do better than that.

i hope he could do an emk musical production in near future bcz they had such amazing musical like mozart, rebecca, matahari, phantom etc etc

This. He should continue as a musical actor.

He can focus on touring overseas or releasing albums in Japan if he still has a strong fanbase. In Korea he can do musicals or branch out into variety or acting. There will still be antis criticizing him but the good thing about variety/acting is that it's more dependent on public interest than fandom strength. Being a married actor or variety star is a non-issue in the public's eyes so unless Sungmin committed crimes, I don't see why they'd be against him
