So many people bragging about how they are fans of mediocre groups because of their so called talent but real talented groups like Spica just get ignored.

legit

i slept on them until secret time came out, then i watched all their mvs and them on weekly idol and ... it was too late.

we can only blame ourselves

Sadly doing good covers doesn't mean anything when you don't have a personality and can not create your own music as a group lmao

Wow it's harsh, yet there is "truth" in it. I will upvote you since you get down vote.

There is so many good singers out there... who can cover song much better than even spica. To put one own color/style to their singing is what makes them a good artist/singer.

It needs some extra "personality / Point of selling" that makes them appeal to public.... and make them outstanding in this saturated market.

Since I don't know if spica write their own song or personality, I can't judge them.... but having great cover won't let you big.

Yet, I will say that SPICA is really have amazing vocal... such a pity of them... maybe bad marketing / management?

Spica flopped because of their shitty company, B2M.

Even Lee Hyori who was with the company in the beginning left the company.

The only exclusive artist on their roster now is Nicole, who is basically jobless atm.

They have SG Wannabe, Eric Nam and Davichi but they're co-managed by CJ E&M which were able to push their careers.

They also have 2 WannaOne members, but those are also co-managed under a CJ E&M sub-company.

They're not done yet....

They have all said that they have NOT disbanded and still use the group name SPICA. Bohyung has an interview in this months Cosmopolitan Korea where she used the SPICA title. And just a couple of weeks ago they all got together for Jiwon's musical. They're just concentrating on individual activities for now since their old companies had them sitting on standby for so long without any promotions.

Boa is credited with writing or co-writing over 40 songs(for many other groups too), including many of SPICA's biggest hits like Tonight, You Don't Love Me, and their last promotion Secret Time. Bohyung has written two songs for SPICA.

Considering they only had one promotion in over 3.5 years as a full group and people still talk about them, is a testament to fact the fact that their talent has left an impression. Not many groups, top tier or especially nugu, can say that.

SPICA moved companies though to being managed by CJ E&M so lol
