Right now, only my maternal grandfather is still around but I only get to see him once a year. I kind of envy those who have really close relationships with their grandparents. My grandfather, on the other hand, was always ignoring me and when he wasn't, he used to put me down (because I was a woman...)so I decided to ignore him too. In the end we didn't see each other anymore and I didn't even go to his burial (I don't feel bad about it tbh, maybe I'm a horrible person...).
