Yoonability 4,159
I'm leaving for Seoul tomorrow night, anyone have any tips about which neighbourhoods are good for relaxing/food, which neighbourhoods to go to for shopping etc? Maybe specific things I have to see? And perhaps neighbourhoods/places I have to avoid?

Thanks! Our hotel is actually in Myeongdong so that's great thanks for the other tips too, we're going to the DMZ and were planning on going to the Seoul Tower too, didn't know the area around it was nice as well, we'll have a walk there
A Hamster Named Loneliness 3,680
some of the streets in Seoul get reaaally smelly at night, especially during summer, and it doesn't help that their sewage system is quite old. Many of the subway stations are basically like mini-malls with different shops to buy stuff from, from clothes to food (Myeongdong Station has about 3 shops dedicated to kpop goodies, and Gangnam Station is ridiculously huge). Myeongdong, Hongdae, Edae, Sinchon, and the Dongdaemun night market are great places for shopping. Insadong is also a great place to visit. Also visit the themed cafes and Lotte World if you're into those kinds of things.
