Incheon residents invent super-convenient garbage disposal system

Recommended Posts

A few days ago, pictures of a korean building with a garbage-covered rooftop appeared in social media.

It turns out it's an abandoned building in the middle of Incheon and JTBC News dispatched a journalist to investigate the situation.

Clip is in korean, brief explanation in the spoiler

The guy finds that the building is locked and the concrete wall is covered with barbed wire to prevent trespassing. He then heads up to the neighboring roof to fish up a couple of garbage bags and finds the first one contains a lunchbox (with some happy bugs inside) with an expiry date of september 2016, indicating the garbage has been accumulating for quite some time already. He then finds out it's residents in the neighboring high-rise apartment building who are just throwing out their garbage on the roof below, the crew spots one of them disposing of a bag in this way.

If you paste in "베스티움 오피스텔" (the name of the apartment building) in Naver maps, you can actually see the mess in the satellite picture (click on "위성" in the upper right corner) laugh.png
