Why has Jackson advanced into Chinese activities but Mark Tuan hasn't?

1.) Jackson is that type of person that has that sort of magnetism about him, for good or bad.

2.) He's popular in China, whereas Mark, compared to Jackson at least, is not.

3.) Mark is somewhat of an introvert, and I suspect that it takes effort on his part to do what he does now. Anymore would be a struggle for him - which is fine, Mark is perfectly fine and what he does now for the group.

Can he even speak the language fluently? Jackson has trouble, but that's what makes him funny in variety shows, because he butchers the language all the time.

Yes,  Mark spoke it more fluently than jackson in the beginning.

Jackson og only spoke Cantonese in the beginning that was learning Mandarin for the Chinese market

-Am majority fluent in both languages

Mark said he likes writting songs. and he produced really nice songs for GOT7. For me Mark the producer all the way. Some people fits in variety (like Jackson) others don't or don't want to. PERIOD.

In my opinion, there's really no need to compare him and Jackson. They're two different people with two different personalities and interests. I think Mark will do just fine working behind the scenes making music and such. smile.png

Can't he still do related music activities in China?

If he wanted to do something there (he's never mentioned it though) his image would be at risk because 1 month ago his dad's comments about supporting Taiwan's independence were included in a trending post. Political views and background are important when you're serious about working in China. Just think what happened to Tzuyu. I remember there were famous actors and actresses who had the same problem.

He would also have to study Mandarin more because he grew up in the US and said he's not good at writing or reading in Mandarin.

are you even a got7 fan lulz

I was one. And I still stand by what I say LOL.

EDIT: And yes, Mark used to be my bias. Saying he is uninteresting has nothing to do with whether you're a fan or not. It's an observation.
