imo, it's around honors, but slightly better.

right now im in an accelerated alg I class and we learn a few more extra things than the regular honors alg I people

plus my class is counted as highschool credit since it's more advanced

idk it depends on the state/country i guess

accelerated courses probably cover more things than a regular class and your probably graded differently? Depends on your school

When I used to take Honors classes back in HS we had the same curriculum with the regular classes, we were graded differently though and honestly Honors prepared us for AP classes later on

You would have to talk to a counselor at your specific school. Different schools can have different names for their 'advanced' classes. 'Honors' at school 'A' might not entail the same things in terms of difficulty, weighted GPA, etc. as 'honors' at school 'B'.

Well back in high school accelerated classes were called AP classes (well for my school). The class is more advanced , fast pace and covers more subject.then regular CP or honor classes. If you take a AP classes and end up passing the AP exam then you get early college credit!

To tell you the truth AP classes are really easy. Its just more fast pace(if you are lazy & procrastinate alot-hell NO do not take that class). AS long as you study really hard i think more people should take those classes. Plus you get 10 points added to your final grade.

I really regret not taking AP classes earlier in high school. I only started taking AP classes in junior year.

accelerated and honors are like the same thing pretty much. the only difference is getting honors credit on your trascript. but either way, the course is very fast paced and sometimes have different requirements than regular classes. if you take these type of courses frosh or soph year it'll help you out and prepare for the amount of courseload for AP courses.  Plus honors courses are weighted differently than a regular class on your GPA. c:

In college, accelerated classes combine prerequisites and requisites (e.g. if ENGL 1 is prereq to ENGL 2, there may be an accelerated class called ENGL 20X that combines them into 1 class to speed up progress toward your degree). Honor classes are harder regular classes (more stuff to do, projects, more stuff covered, etc) and look better on your transcripts.

it's hard, but it's definitely going to pay off in the end. that person would have like an a+ if it was a regular class. xD so if you have a b you'll be fine since it'd be considered as an a in your transcript.
