AA's Meet and Greet in the Philippines Experience (+ some of the Q&A bits)

So I went to Namhyung and Dongsoo's Meet and Greet here in the Philippines yesterday.

It was a fun experience. Still can't get over the fact I met my two most favorite 101 trainees. Plus we were all able to hi-five and talk with them up close and also take pictures with them, get an autograph, and give them gifts.

It was done separately. 3:00-4:00 pm it was Dongsoo's turn. 4:30-5:30 pm is Namhyung's turn. Separate events so of course separate fees. It was PHP1000 (around US$20) for one of them. I went for both of them so it was PHP2000 (around US$40).

 

Dongsoo

It began with Dongsoo singing Cat (which I listen to everyday cause it's sexy!). Just seeing him sing Cat in front live satisfied me. Then it proceeded to the Q&A part. They gave us small papers (like post-it notes without the adhesives) and we wrote our questions there. They have a translator in front.

(I don't know the exact words said and I may forget some questions and answers cause I was busy fanboying so it'll be non verbatim. Other OHers that were there, feel free to correct and add stuff.)

 

Q: Which 101 trainee were you closest with other than Addcorn Kim Namhyung?

A: Lee Woojin, Hong Eunki, and everyone else hahahaha. (I think I also heard Son Dongmyeong and/or Yoo Kyoungmok)

 

Q: Most hardest (or memorable? I forgot but I think it's hardest) moment during 101

A: When I practice very hard (alone) for almost the whole day everyday.

 

Q: Can you say Namhyung's sleeping habits?

A: I don't know since I watch videos at night then fall asleep so I don't know his sleeping habits (I don't know if what I typed is more or less or what Dongsoo said cause I fanboyed too much during this part)

 

Q: Where in the Philippines would you like to visit?

A: I like the sea. So I like to visit the beaches

 

Q: Can you do some aegyo?

A: He does 3 aegyos. Then after that he says that he isn't much into doing aegyo.

 

Q: What would you like your future girlfriend to call you?

A: Yeobo (the fans started screaming Yeobo)

 

Q: Best rapper on 101 other than Namhyung?

A: Me. HAHAHAHA (the whole studio bursts in laughter). It'll be Woo Jinyoung.

 

Q: Can you perform your part during Amazing Kiss?

A: Dongsoo proceeds to sing his part with his hand gestures

 

There were more questions but I forgot. My bad. i may add some if I remember them.

 

After the Q&A we played thee telepathy game wherein a word flashes on screen and we should do the exact thing Dongsoo does at front that has a connection to the word in order to win. We pose at the same time so yeah you can't change your pose/gesture and it's all luck. The prize is a close up selfie with him.

 

After that was the last part which is the Hi-Touch part where we all one by one go up to Dongsoo, hi-five with him, talk with him, take a picture, get an autograph and give him gifts if you have some. When it was my turn we gave each other a hi five, I told him he was one of my most favorite trainee in Produce 101 and that I really like his voice a lot, I also told him I listen to them everyday and watch them everyday, and I wished him success. We hugged afterwards. Then we took a photo and it was done. He then said that he was overwhelmed because he wasn't expecting this much to come. We then proceed to the final groufie. Then after that he said goodbye. When he was leaving he waved goodbye to all of us and we waved back to him too. When he walked in front of me and saw me waving him goodbye, he smiled even more and gave me a special wave of goodbye (which killed me with happiness I was ready to die at that point   )

 

After that we had a 30 minute break. During that 30 minute break Namhyung came from the other side of the studio and walked in front of us casually to the other side (the somewhat backstage). He smiled while walking. Then it was Namhyung's turn.

 

Namhyung

It followed the same program like Dongsoo's. The song he performed was new. It was the first time I heard it. It isn't on their soundcloud. But it was good! And of course as usual his rap slayed! Then it proceeded to the Q&A part.

Again non verbatim and questions are not in any order.

 

Q: Most favorite song from 101?

A: Nayana! First thing after waking up I hear that inside my ears/head. And after waking up my body starts dancing to Nayana. (Then Namhyung dances the chorus of Nayana which made mo SOOOO HAPPY  )

 

Q: Which 101 trainee were you closest with other than Dongsoo?

A: Noh Taehyun, Park Woojin, Ong Seongwoo (my bae ), and everyone else! (I think he also mentioned Im Youngmin, Lee Woojin, and Ha Sungwoon. Again, feel free to correct me if you know!)

 

Q: Favorite artist/rapper?

A: A$AP Rocky, Big Sean (he also mentioned a Korean rapper but I didn't hear it clearly)

 

Q: Will you go on SMTM (again)?

A: I will on the next season (everyone screams)

 

Q: Where did your name Addcorn come from?

A: I like Korean Cheese Corn. Every time we would eat, I would eat Cheese Corn. And I will keep asking the waiter "Please Add Corn!". And (he mentioned a name) said "Oh your name should be Addcorn!"

 

Then the host asked what if you don't eat corn, what would your name be? The fans screamed Crispy Pata (a Filipino dish he really likes) and Namhyung said "AddCrispyPata"

 

Q: Could you please dance to TT?

A: Namhyung danced to TT even the neomuhae part

 

Q: Can you do the "I dreamt of a ghost" aegyo?

A: He does it

 

Q: Aside from b-boying and rapping, do you have other talents/specialties?

A: Singing! (He then gave some high notes)

 

Q: What would you like your future girlfriend to call you?

A: Honey (fans started screaming Honey)

 

Q: Which trainee that didn't win and got eliminated was the most regretful for you?

A: Samuel

 

There were other questions but I forgot. My bad. Feel free to add and correct some stuff if you remember.

 

Then it was the hi touch part. He was very hyper and screamed a lot. The fans screamed along with him. During my turn, we gave each other a hi five but we didn't let go of each other's hands yet cause we jumped in circles while screaming and holding hands. Then I told him he was one of my most favorite trainee in 101 and he is my most favorite rapper from 101. I told him I really like their songs and I wished him success. Then we took a photo. Again I was flowing with happiness 

After the Hi touch part before he said goodbye we sang him a Happy Birthday since it was his birthday last June 24. Dongsoo suddenly appeared holding a confetti popper and popped it. The staff handed him two cakes, he made a wish and he blew the candles. Then we all screamed. After that we took the final groufie with him. And he said goodbye. Again he waved goodbye at all of us again and we waved him goodbye too. He was still very jolly and playful while waving goodbye to all of us 

 

And that's it. Very happy to see my most favorite contestants on 101!

Yeah they have a number of fans here in PH. Especially since they promoted here last year with their group OFFROAD. That's when they garnered a lot of Filipino fans. And they had even more today because of 101 (including me  ).
