What do you think about child leashes?

I don't like it like kids want to rebel when you tie them down. Like I just learned what times I could do certain things you know. But I can't judge every kid is different. However I am against it if the parent is being lazy and is not paying attention to the kid.

totally support it, my niece loves to take off for attention sake (she will run across the road and three houses down as soon as she gets out of the car) so things like this keep kids safe though some people think it's tying kids and treating them like animals its really for their own safety when they won't listen

that's honestly really smart, but i think it should only be used when necessary, for example in big crowds. kids need to feel like they can move around freely.

and besides, when i think about it, wouldn't simply holding hands be more effective?? always worked for me and i was crazy hyperactive as a kid.

Elaborate

i find them to be humiliating and uncomfortable. simply holding the child's hand instead of dragging them around by a leash would be better imo

but in the end, it's the child's safety that is important so whatever works best /shrugs. though i do think if one is using them, it should be a last but temporary resort. they won't learn otherwise
