Actor Kim Soo Hyun is expected to draw in the viewers with his appearance in the new KBS drama "Producer" (working title) written by Park Ji Eun, directed by Seo Soo Min.

On March 16, an official from Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Keyeast, told Star News "Kim Soo Hyun chose the Producer because he trusted the writer and he was attracted to the freshness of the format."

According to his representative, "In the past, Kim Soo Hyun has undergone acting transformations when he played a fool in the movie, Secretly, Greatly and also for his role in You who came from the stars. There is no such thing as a burden for him. In the Producer, you will see another performance from Kim Soo Hyun", he asked for people to watch out for it.

On the other hand, as soon as the casting for the supporting actors has ended, the drama "Producer" will start shooting. The date of broadcast is still being discussed, whether it will be by the end of April or in May.

Great news for Kim Soo Hyun fans! The Hallyu star has taken to Instagram for the first time!

 

The time between the end of “My Love from the Stars†and now, in terms of Kim Soo Hyun, was punctuated mostly with news of his endless endorsements, made even more apparent in Seoul, where there’s not a street without Kim Soo Hyun’s face in, quite frankly, most store windows. Not that we’re tired of seeing his face or anything, but it’ll be great to see some personal shots of the actor!

 

His first post was made just one hour ago, and the star has already garnered over 11 thousand followers. Looks like he’s enjoying himself on vacation before he starts in on his new drama “Producer“!

Caffe Bene, the coffee franchise company which recently conducted a "Caffe Bene Romantic White Day Event with Kim Soo Hyun" revealed on March 16, that the event has been a great success. 

The "Caffe Bene Romantic White Day Fan Meeting" was created to announce the selection of Asian Star Kim Soo Hyun as their brand model in February of this year as well as to promote their extensive new menu. 1,000 customers were selected to attend the event through a lottery among the tickets given to those who purchased desserts from their 12 stores nationwide.

On the day of the event, Kim Soo Hyun presented gifts for White Day such as candy bouquets and Caffe Bene goods to the fans through an instant lottery and had the time to proceed with the quiz portion to have rapport with the customers. Kim Soo Hyun has opened up an Instagram account. 

About two years ago, he created a Weibo account and no other SNS, but on March 17, Kim Soo Hyun suddenly opened up an Instagram account with a selfie. In just a day, Kim Soo Hyun′s account already has more than 250,000 followers. 

Up until now, Kim Soo Hyun has only used Weibo, but he wasn′t as active as many other stars, so whenever he updated a photo, the fan response was great. But because he was only using Weibo, there was no special platform where he could communicate with his fans in Korea. 
 

 

Kim Soo Hyun′s Weibo, which opened up in 2012, has more than 10 million followers. With his new Instagram account, he will be able to communicate with more fans in and outside of Korea. 

Kim Soo Hyun′s agency rep told Newsen on March 18, "Kim Soo Hyun was searching for a way to communicate with fans when he decided to start Instagram." 

The rep continued, "He plans on sharing things with fans in and outside of Korea. He actually doesn′t really have a huge interest in SNS, but because the love from fans is growing every day, he also had a growing heart to communicate with fans. He′s very motivated." 

Meanwhile, Kim Soo Hyun will begin filming KBS′ Producers.

KBS2 TV new entertainment drama "Producer" (working title, written by Park Ji Eun, directed by Seo Soo Min) starring Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin and IU is having their first script reading under tight security.

The first script reading of the "Producer" is currently being carried out this afternoon of March 23 at the Wedding Hall in Gangnam, Seoul

Today's script reading was participated in by actors, Kim Soo Hyun, Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, IU, Kim Jong Kook, Jo Han Cheol, Na Young Hee, Park Hyuk Kwon as well as the writer and the production crew.

Script readings were held under tight security. People other than the cast of the "Producer" and its production crew were blocked from having access to the ongoing script reading. There is an identity check at the entrance to the parking lot for those who were allowed to enter. The side of the wedding hall was also completely blocked from access to the reporters.  

The production crew is reluctant to release the dramatic content of "Producer" prior to its broadcast because they feel the big burden of the all star cast that are active both domestically and internationally.

The first script reading is intended to gather all the actors who will be part of the major cast in one place. The actors and the production crew will hear out the character and settings from the writer and how the story will unfold in the future.
