I was going to mention that KSH needs to get his act (well, figure) together!  I heard he lost his endorsement for a sofa or bed or something to Kim Woo Bin just because he's no longer the lean and sexy guy.  Oppa needs to watch how much weight he is gaining, this is not good.

 

lol you talk like he's a whale - he's not even that big.

 

 

He should ease up on the endorsements more than on the food, to be honest.

 

 

mte. lbh all he's done for the majority of this year is cf after cf; he doesn't need anymore - he and his company need to be careful (especially after the chinese water thing) because otherwise he will be labelled as greedy etc. i hope in future he sticks to a few long term big paying/named contacts (e.g. samsung, coca cola, samsonite etc) and get rid of the smaller unnecessary ones. he needs to streamline. that in the long run will boost his image and sense of exclusivity rather than it seeming like he will do just about any thing

 

i would rather him take a proper break than just continuously see him in the news for just doing cfs. he needs to get back to work.

The winners of the 2014 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards has been published today, Nov. 11, This is an award given to those who have contributed to the development and spread of the Hallyu pop culture and arts.

Among those to be honored are singers, writers, artists plus 8 Hallyu stars including Kim Soo Hyun who will be receiving the Prime Minister Award.

The Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards was designed by the government as a prize system to enhance the social status of the popular culture and arts industry and to inculcate pride in the  pop culture artist. The winners will receive awards in the following categories: the Cultural Medal, the President Award, the Prime Minister Award, and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism  Award depending on their social contributions based on their national and international activities and achievements as well as industry contributions.

Well, his obvious earned weight is enough for him to lose an endorsement... I think the message is clear enough. I'm not saying he should be skinny and anorexic, but he does have an image to keep up. As they say beauty is painful, but appearance needs to be in check in the entertainment industry.

For me as long as he doesn't turn into a slob and gets back to his fighting weight when he's working then I don't care what he is like during his break.

Kim Soo Hyun has been once again, spotted in London!

 

Kim Soo Hyun, who is well known for his roles in popular Korean dramas such as My Love From the Star and Dream High, has been spotted travelling to London, and again by fans in Regents Street.

 

It seems that he is back to do yet another photoshoot here, proving that his last visit back in 2012 was an enjoyable one. There are not details as of yet how long he will be staying for.

 

Kim Soo Hyun is a big name when it comes to Korean dramas, having been active in the industry for 7 years with an impressive skill of captivating the viewers, top that off with his good looks and you’ve got an international celebrity!

 

It seems to be becoming a trend for idols to take part in photoshoots in Europe, we’re seeing it more commonly now with TOP’s shoot in Italy, and Krystal, Go Ara, Siwon, Lee Soo Hyukand more having shoots done in London.

The Hallyu star fee has risen to 2 billion won.

Recently, it was revealed that Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho have adjusted their terms and conditions and went up to 2 billion won CF guarantee targeting the areas of South Korea and the Asian countries. The CF fee guarantee of Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho have risen more than twice in one year. Earlier this year, it takes two years to be in and out of the standard 2 billion won guarantee, recently it only takes a year.

These CF fee increase came out after a work with Hallyu content hit China, each of the leads have their own strengths. It was learned that Kim Soo Hyun who caused a syndrome in China due to his popularity after appearing in the SBS drama, "You who came from the stars", received 2 billion won a year as a model for an outdoor clothing brand in China. The heroine of "You who came from the stars", Jun Ji Hyun raised her rates in one year, by more than 1 billion won, following her activities as a BHC model thanks to the "chimaek craze" in China. 

If they are airing the CF in Korea only, the rate is 800 million, but if China and Japan were included, you have to pay twice as much or more. In the industry, a one year contract for Kim Soo Hyun and Lee Min Ho would at least cost 800 million.

The analysis for the Hallyu star fee was described as "exaggerated". Recently, along with the CF appearance, the inclusion of visits to the local shops for 1-3 times to as many as 10 times of promotional schedules, is the reason for such amount. They argued that it was not purely the filming of the CF video that is included in the cost but also the autograph signings, fan meetings and promotional expenses as well.

The reason for the high CF rates of the Hallyu star is due to marketability. Immediately after the scene where Kim Soo Hyun was seen eating ramen in "You who came from the stars" was aired, China's Internet shopping website "Taobao" reported an increase in the weekly sales of Nongshim noodles by 60%.
