hmm, thieves had high caliber cast and genre for all types of viewers. but i think this movie will be a hit too, just not on the level of thieves.

'Secretly Greatly,' largest number of ticket reservation in history

 

Nearly 350,000 people reserved tickets for the movie.

On the 5th, 'Secretly Greatly' recorded 349,942 ticket reservations on the 5th day after being released. On the 4th, the movie recorded 290,000 ticket reservations and surpassed the record of 'Iron Man3,' which was 246,000, the best record till then. The movie surpassed the reservation rate of 80% before being released, and surpassed the number of ticket reservation of 'The Thieves,' which had recorded the most among Korean movies. Being the great box office hit, 'Secretly Greatly' is achieving a lot of interest.

Kim Soo Hyun’s “Secretly and Greatly†Breaks Record for Opening Korean Film

 

Wow! “Secretly and Greatly†which stars Kim Soo Hyun is making a killing in the Korean box office! According to KOFIC (The Korean Film Council) “Secretly and Greatly†which opened on June 5 had an audience of 498,282. If we include the numbers for the film screening, that means that the film has now had a total of 507,910 viewers!

 

This is the highest number of views for the opening day of a Korean film. The film that had the previous record was “Thieves†which had an audience of 436,596 on the day it opened. In comparison, Iron Man 3 had a total audience of 422,504.

 

“Secretly and Greatly†is based off of a 2010 webtoon about a handsome North Korean spy who acts like the village idiot. More specifically, Kim Soo Hyun’s character pretends that he is a high-school student village idiot that wants to become a signer. Park Ki Woong, Lee Hyun Woo, Son Hyun Joo, and others also star in the movie.

Kim Soo-Hyeon’s ticket power boosted. Movie ‘Secretly Greatly’, in which Kim Soo-Hyeon is the leading role, had about 500 thousand audiences on the day of its release.

‘Secretly Greatly’ rated top on the box office on the day it was released. It is of the highest record of the year.

‘Secretly Greatly’ rated top, beating other movies ‘Star Trek: Darkness’ and ‘Scary Movie 2’.

This is because of the ticket power of Kim Soo-Hyeon, who came back with a new work after drama ‘Moon Bearing Sun’. The movie has been drawing massive attention from female audiences even before the premiere.

‘Secretly Greatly’ is the movie based on webtoon of same title. It is a movie about a spy pretending to be a fool, and Kim Soo-Hyeon, Park Gi-Woong and Lee Hyeon-Woo took the leading roles.

Congratulations Kim Soo Hyun, Park Ki Woong and Lee Hyun Woo! The new film, "Secretly and Greatly," which stars these popular kdrama actors, has broken the record for domestic box office openings.

 

According to the Korean publication, The Women's News, the film sold 498,282 tickets on opening day, which breaks the record for the highest single-day opening in Korea. The film surpassed the record held by "The Host," which opened with 450,000 tickets and Kim Soo Hyun's previous movie, "The Thieves," which sold 436,596 tickets on its opening day. To compare it to sales of an international film, "Iron Man," only sold 422,000 tickets.

 

Within 36 hours, "Secretly and Greatly" had sold over a million tickets, being the fastest movie ever to reach a million tickets sold in Korea.Part of the reason for its success has to be its three young stars.
