If you were me, which university will you choose?

I'm in my 2nd year of college and I think I'm regretting on the major (medical technology) I'm taking right now because I think I'm not happy right now. When I was still in high school I'm not sure what major should I take so I applied 5 different universities and all of them accepted me. If you were in my shoes which university should I choose

1. The university I choose is a medical school that always get 100% passing rate on board exams and they kick out students when they got a failing mark on their grade. (We got a lot of pressure that is why I don't like there any more)

2. The university that is known for their excellent agricultural research. (If I entered, I would've chosen biotechnology as a major)

3. The university where all the elites come from, like almost all president in our counrty graduated from there, also successful businessmen, lawyers, doctors, engineers and etc. ( I would've chosen molecular biology because it looks interesting)

4. The university that excells in engeneering majors and also I also like it there because the campus is so beautiful (I would've taken chemical engineering)

5. The university that is known for being the oldest school in the country and it's like the rival school of #3 (I would've taken pharmacy as a major)

#4, because it's the only one in that you said something you like about it. In the other ones you only listed formal things and chemical engineering sounds interesting!

You should discard option #1 right away, you don't like it and regret what you are studying now. And I can tell you from my experience, that your mental health is more important that everything, you're young, don't be afraid of change, do what you love and try to be happy!

Are you considering transferring schools or simply switching majors?

Honestly, I would choose the field/major you're most interested in and then look at the schools' strengths in that major as opposed to looking at each school's ' strongest departments and then choosing a diff major for each school.

It also sounds like the learning environment is what is causing you to dislike your current school. While 3 and 5 are doubtless amazing institutions full of very smart, driven students, that can make for a more cutthroat environment which probably isn't what you're looking for. The most prestigious school is not always the right fit just because you made it in. Some people learn best when they're surrounded by people in a higher percentile than them because it pushes them to work harder. Some people thrive amongst those who are at their level. Some people will do best when they know they've got a handle on things encause the confidence boost lets them work better. idk that's my two cents on prestigious universities.. I'm at a school that's the top in my field and I flip between confidence and self-doubt all the time, so this is something I've been thinking about a lot in regards to myself as well. It's a pressure cooker environment and last year I was boiling under it, but I think things will ease up next year. I'm rambling now lmao I can't help you all that much because I don't know you like you do and I don't know what your priorities are here, so I can only say what I've learned.

i guess then that would be a place to start -- think abt what your top priority for your education is, and what you need to get out of these next few yrs and what you're willing to subject yourself to.

I actually don't know your interest but I can see that you like biology, so if I were in your shoes I will #2 or #3.

Yeah I like biological and natural sciences and I also have a great interest in medical science

Should've given the first uni a crack first if I were you. But you're approaching this from the wrong perspective. You're going to fall into the same situation again if you don't pursue mostly based on your passion for a thing, I don't know you, so I can't say.

I feel like you could've had a lot of doors open for you because you went to such a prestigious school.
