today's episode is starring the Pocket Girls!

 

 

 

back in april 2015, four hopeful race models, Yeon Ji, SeA, Soyoon and JuA, banded together under the name 'Pocket Girls' in an attempt to break into the idol industry. they drew some minor attention for being a rookie group of racing models (even though they weren't the first) and for the massive amount of plastic surgeries the members had allegedly underwent, with happy results for some members and unhappier for others.

 

 

debuting under Danal Entertainment, their first (and the only relatively noteworthy) single, 'Bbang Bbang (빵빵)' wasn't actually that bad. a catchy, if somewhat outdated song about a past lover that is trying to get into your graces again, it failed to chart.

a fair assumption would be that the agency relied on the members' generous... assets to draw some attention, a strategy which ultimately paid off a little. the video did cause a minor stir online due to two aspects: member Yeon Ji's botched lip surgery (which was discreetly fixed after the video went live) and a fancam of member Soyoon:

the latter drew a good amount of attention mostly due to her impressive... personality, netting itself some coverage on korean sites. it even got an allkpop article, where it was (dumbly) compared to the legendary Hani fancam for gaining 100k views in under a week. oh, allkpop. after the channel disabled comments and people couldn't have their fun with slut shaming her in the comments anymore, the cam lost traction around 300k and was quickly forgotten, although it seems to have gained a few views since, with over 1.4 m views as of the posting of this thread.

details about the Pocket Girls are sketchy from here on out. sometime after they released Bbang Bbang, member SeA left the group without much buzz (not that anyone would've cared). Soyoon and JuA followed suit, and were eventualy replaced with other racing queens, who themselves left soon after (and were replaced also). the current line up, allegedly, is Min Chae, Ha Bin, ChaeA and stoic Yeon Ji (the only original left). I say allegedly because there's no real way to track them since they're so deep into nugudom. some of these girls don't even have their birthdays listed online, so for all we know, you might be fapping to someone that aint legal yet right now.

 

oh, also they haven't released any other songs ever since Bbang Bbang, just performing their one single at various venues and events. they don't seem to be disbanded since they still have an active instagram account where they post a picture of their new lineup every now and then.
