These verses just sound like they took phrases from ur average american hip hop song and strung them together to create verses. I wouldn't impressed if it was ur average hip hop artist was rapping these lines, so I'm not going to pretend they're amazing now. That being said, whistle remains a bop Agreed ,meaningful/complex verses aren't really a priority (sadly) , it's mostly about how they sound/flow for now. Maybe one day they'll actually let them try to write instead of making Teddy/Bekuh do it and we'll see some substance. but also to be fair nicki has had some pretty cringe verses even in 2017.....her resent "disses" yikes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

She still has a nice flow most of the time but her lyrics have gotten so lazy I just can't but it'll be interesting if YG let's them write anytime soon.
