Will AOA be able to hold on without Choa?

so it's official, choa is leaving aoa.

being one of the iconic vocals of the group, and also one of the more popular members, it's no question that her departure will definitely hurt aoa. do you think they're gonna be able to recover and keep going forward as a popular group, or will this cause them to disband?

The group only has 2 years left before the 7 years hit and I expect them to disband then, even before the news today. I think they will keep going even if it's just for another 1 or 2 releases. AOA still have Seolhyun and Jimin for popularity and Yuna and Hyejeong aren't any worse then main singers from other girl groups. So while it's a huge loss, I don't see why the group can't go on.

I been a fan since debut. And honestly its just seolhyun and the backup dancers without choa. Choa and seolhyun have insane popularity vs all other members. Jimin closely follows in 3rd from unpretty

Well sorry to disagree. Yuna is no Choa but she CAN sing ... As she already sang the songs during Choas absence. And it was NOT bad.

Give them a chance ...

Im not saying the other members arent talented but they are not popular compared to seolhyun and choa. Its like a wall. Choa leaving will really be a huge impact on them.

We can agree on that ... Just would like to give them a chance. especially as i think they have still Yuna and Hyjeong which were overshadowed by Choa and also i like the few lines when Mina sings :) But Choa is a Giant, loosing them will affect heavily. Definitly not half as popular as before ...

Depends on the songs and how FNC plays their cards from now on.

But personally, AOA will lost a lot with ChoA leaving, not only because of her unique vocals but because she was one of the main members that represented AOA publicly together with Seolhyun and Jimin, regardless if you like to admit it or not. If theoretically Seolhyun decided to leave AOA too, that would be practically the end of AOA.
FNC had good intentions pushing AOA Cream for the sake of boosting the popularity of unpopular members, idk what happened with that.

i also worry that the "usual" crowd will pop up at an AOA comeback without Choa and tell you how much worser the will be (not that it will be true but they will claim) ...

Removing Choa voice from AoA is like removing Taeyeon from SNSD. Sure they got other members that can cover her spots. Those voices can not be replace. They are special. With that said the complete and utter disrespect people continue to show Yuna & Hyejeong really pisses me off. They can both sing.

As for the future of AoA. They will either disband in 2 years or there will be major shakeup with the group. Seolhyun is highly likely leave the group. I can't see her continue being in the group when her brand outside is very strong. It wouldn't surprise if she re-sign with FNC but leave AoA altogether. Hypothetical if the group remain together they rebuild around Yuna,Hyejeong,Mina and Chanmi. Jimin would be the wildcard whether she stays or not.

AOA will probably disband in 2 years which isn't a bad run for any Kpop group. While they prepare for a full group comeback with Yuna as the new main vocal, they can do another AOA Cream release. I can see two more full group comebacks and one sub unit before they disband.
