Plus if I'm feeling a bit warm but don't want to take off my hoodie I can just leave the front open and unzipped. With non-zipup hoodies you can't do that. You'd have to take the whole thing off if you start to feel hot, and then put it back on if you feel cold again. Kind of seems like a hassle to me.
