So I went to Anaface for fun... http://www.anaface.com/

 

And this is a place that analyses your facial symmetry and after a series of calculations (most of which are stereotypical and superficial) they come up with a beauty score.

 

Now me being the Sone that I am, I decided to put in Soshi... Here's the scores I got (out of 10)

 

Taeyeon - 7.78
Jessica - 8.71
Sunny - 7.91
Tiffany - 7.92
Hyoyeon - 7.52
Yuri - 8.1
Sooyoung - 7.62
Yoona - 8.8
Seohyun - 7.94

 

Do you agree with these scores? I honestly do want to because all of them are above average on this chart and it seems about right to what SM ranked them as...

 

The main issue however would be accepting that my ranking of 8.12 is accurate as well, and there is no way in hell my ugly ass is as good looking as the average John or Jane Doe, let alone SNSD.

Beauty is subjective though. But I'm sure sm didn't base their visual order or whatever based on anaface just saying ahhahaa.  :happy:

but the fact yoona got the highest and is seen as the most beautiful in the group, and hyoyeon getting the lowest score and her being seen as the least attractive (domestically) is sort of interesting

What is there to put down? I'm just telling the truth, I am not an 8.12 by any stretch of imagination.

 

To put it into context, I basically rank higher than a 1/3 of SNSD, does that sound right to you? XD

 

Jessica is the most asymmetrical though.

 

This much is actually true when you think about it... That's why I found it so bizarre when she was ranked second. She's beautiful and everything, but in terms of ideal or typical beauty, I wouldn't put her up there... :(

Depends on the pictures you submitted, no?  If they weren't all head-on, that could throw off the symmetry.  And even if your features are fug, maybe you're just a really symmetrical dude.  :ahmagah:

True, I guess it really is all based on symmetry... But then it isn't completely inaccurate then because most people with good symmetry are good looking in a certain way, no?

 

It doesn't mean those without it are not good looking, but it just increases the likelihood or something... at least that's what I heard. Judging from myself, obviously I'm an exception that rule, but most actors that are celebrated with good looks or at least famed for them, have symmetrical faces XD

Well, yes, symmetry is one of the more objective things about beauty.  But the pictures you used might have been misleading about how actually symmetrical the girls were.  I mean, somehow Jessica's jaw was apparently not factored in... or maybe it's deceptive from a frontal view and only really shows when viewed from that side of her face. XD

 

EDIT: also, I put in Smaug.  Depending on how I placed the points, the score could be affected.  So that's another thing to consider.
