There's pvp in it, but it's more PvE oriented. Now what differs FFXIV from other mmorpgs is;the storyline (which is great and constantly more story quests are added with each patch that comes out), the class system (you can play all combatm gathering, crafting classes on the same character, therefore no need to make x amount of character just to play another class), and the community in my opinion. I've encountered a lot of nice people and made some great friends through the game which I haven't always done in other MMOs. I suggest that you try the free trial for yourself, there's no time limit for it but you can only lvl your classes to max lvl 30(?). If you have any specific questions in mind, just go ahead and ask. Thank you this description. I enjoy both PvE and PvP. Interesting storylines is a bonus because I usually end up skipping the story, after realizing that they're not intriguing. And the fact that I don't have to re-roll or create 7 different characters just to get different crafts or be a mule for ingredients is nice. What about video guides, they may be less confusing because you can actually see what is going on. Sometimes, I use videos for Nioh when I'm ready to punch the tele and they helped.
