It's actually easier IRL. Mafias are harder online because you can't judge people's behaviors as well and it's more fast paced.

Perhaps I can help! Where's the confusion? The Mafia/Werewolf Pact (depending which form) kills a villager each "night". So the village has to lynch a suspected gangster/werewolf. If you're on the villagers' team you find the gangsters/werewolves while not getting mistakenly "lynched" and if you're a gangster/werewolf you act innocent and pretend your on the villager's side without getting discovered in order to avoid being lynched while planning your next victim.
