Don't worry, all will be back to normal when OH can support the traffic it gets again. ^^ This way the site can still stay functional for users despite the overload on servers. Most older users already know what is happening and it is easy to just tell newer ones when it happens if they ask. Safe mode is not usually anything we anticipate berforehand because we really can't predict how many users the site will suddenly have. It usually doesn't last that long, so don't worry.
