When my uncle found out I was non-straight via facebook, he made my cousin tell me that I wasn't welcome in their house anymore. All I did was cry but my mom stood up for me. I tried to go to some place with my ex and the hostess was like "we can't seat you, there's no space" then complained about how we were "being gross in a family establishment" When I tried to complain to the manager, they pulled the ~*We rEserVE THe rIGhT tO rEfUSe sErvICe tO aNYonE*~ shtick, citing that they didn't want people do be "inappropriate" which we were apparently being by holding hands. Won't dare to stand up for the gay community here in fear of being ostracized. My friend was distracted with the phone so didn't hear what they said. I yelled some things back, they left. She wanted to know what they said but I pretended that I didn't know because it would hurt her. I was used to dealing with crap so stuff like that stopped getting me tight a long time ago. When I would walk home people would scream out of their car windows "fag" and other things at me. I also got booed out of a classroom once too. My high school was a mess. Personal experience: I got a lot of shit in High School for being into girls (thing is I wasn't even out yet ). As to what did I do-- nothing really. OT but when gay marriage was turned into a right in my country my Facebook feed was filled with a lot of ugly post.
