GirlBye 27,959
Not imo It's funny b/c the song wasn't a national hit or anything, yet its impact is unrivaled Really shows how legendary SNSD is Click here to view the Tweet
sage14 1,945
In terms of how meaningful it became? I doubt it. But lots of other debut songs have been iconic
secret 426
Never. This debut made what their name and the song's name suggested. They really opened up a new world for girl groups and made "girls' generation" a reality. They opened up the path for girls to be idols just as free as boys. I'm not saying other groups didn't but SNSD fought through the hate they got just for being girls and they inspired so many girl idols with their debut... I'm getting a bit emotional here

Arcobaleno 510
That song carried so many implications. The lyrics fit SNSD's narrative during their debut days. So far, I haven't seen any group debut with a nice song (read: public friendly) that also had meaningful lyrics.
kimchidiablo 6,189
Tbh music-wise, Like Oh Ah is iconic too but ITNW has more meaning so it could suit any situation happened, not only about love.

skythatpourslight 🌷 821
To have a song that is still relevant after 10 (T E N) years since its release, used in rallies and political protests, used as an anthem to impeach the corrupt president, the dance a must-learn choreography for most trainees to debut as girl groups, opened the path for female empowerment in the music industry, and covered by many hoobaes up to this day? This song has countless impacts despite not being a hit when it was first released so- I don't think so, sweetiepies.

BlueRose23 125
I doubt it. ITNW is iconic. What I love about this song besides its meaning is that it didn't have any English words in it only in korean.
