Anyone who likes writing stories please help

My niece has an assignment where she has to write a short story (4-7 pages) from at least 3 POVs, where 3-5 characters witness or involved in the same plot. Each story has to start and end with the same lines.

She's having trouble with developing a plot and her characters. I've given her an idea but she doesn't really like it (lol I'm not the best at story ideas). Does anyone have any ideas of what she can write about?

And please none of that fanfic/yaoi shit

Maybe something like the breakfast club, so 3-5 characters end up in detention because they all witnessed a fight and they all have different stories about the same fight, blaming one person or the other and it could all end with "All I know is, that I don't deserve to be here"

I once had to do a similar assignment, and i turned in a fanfic I wrote. No one noticed. But if shes not the fanfic-y type, have her look up story prompts on tumblr. if it has to be that long and three POVs, have it be like one main event that happens, and 3 or more characters version of what happened, like they're filling out a police report or something. Would make a good thriller/crime drama story

^ I agree with the above post. thrillers and crimes are definitely good for multiple POVs. You could have a scenario where someone goes missing and exploring different family members emotions + the person that's missing..just an example. a tragic event means you can get into the mind of several different people
