Do you think a girlgroup could ever go the same path as BTS?

A girlgroup outside of the big 3 reaching heights eben the big3 haven't and getting to the very top. Like i was just thinking, is it even possible for a GG from an unknown agency?

GGs at the top have always been from SM-YG-JYP (WG-SNSD-2ne1 somewhat- TWICE)

are small company GGs bound to T-ara/Gfriend level success?

I think they could, but the company needs to have perfect marketing strategies for it. The members and concepts should also be somewhat flexible, able to gather a fandom. However I believe a girlgroup would have more of a chance to be successful if they listened to what the public wanted because as much as Bts are one of the biggest kpop groups right now, Korea's public doesn't like their non - public friendly songs that much. <--- the reason I said this is that girl groups usually need recognition from the public to survive, as fandoms leave them for other new ggs or just boygroups (sadly) ohdearplz.png

This is just what I think, obviously so these are not facts unsure.png

yeah I can see it happening

Actually bighit should create another girl group soon. I can see them achieving mainstream success.Like how 2ne1 did after Big Bang hit big.

I actually would like to see how they would do with a girl group but they've already made it clear that a girl group won't be happening anytime.

Yeah. It's 100x easier for a girl group outside the Big3 to rise than a boy group. Nobody is checking for boy groups. The girls have a chance with the public.

Which is why BTS is even more impressive.

Lmao why do yall like to act like BTS is an anomaly? There have been plenty of groups who have succeeded without the help of big 3. BTS wasn't the first and they sure won't be the last.

But not to BTS's extend...

I mean, there have been non big 3 groups that have become substantially popular, but not to the extent of BTS where they can legitimately duke it out with top big 3 groups and win.

i would like to see it, it really boggles my mind that a girl group from outside big 3 has not won a grand prize yet, so many bgs outside big3 have won it

i really want bighit to create a girl group

non big 3 groups HAVE beaten big 3 groups before tho? Maybe it's not as common but it has happened.  Their success is still impressive nontheless.

it will be hard but good luck ohbi.png

Unless bighit creates a GG which won't be now for couple of years so the anticipation for them will be huge when they debut much like how Big 3 new GGs debut anticipation be like..

So i can see Bighit GG having something similar to BTS..and i think Pristin/KARD can hit it big with the right stuff..

I would bet on Pristin, GFriend, maybe Loona.

I don't think any girl group will reach BTS's level of fandom size and album sales ofc. This is where boy groups excel.

It's really hard to say if a non big 3 girl group can make it big like BTS did but that's because boy groups and girl groups have different types of popularity and different marketing techniques.

Why not? They are already doing better than BTS at debut... It's unfair to say now they won't achieve it, let's wait 4 years first
