What's your reaction and what happen in hallyu8 when T-ara's bullying scandal first broke out

Basically every fandoms assuming shits in hallyu8 (and allkpop forum) and as more KKS's bullshit statements came out, more and more people joined the hate bandwagon.

 

Meanwhile, me, who's defending T-ara at the time got downvoted like crazy especially in allkpop forum (don't exactly remember in hallyu8 but I think I got downvoted like hell too there) and had personal insults thrown at me. I couldn't handle all that so I didn't come on the forums anymore. Makes me wonder and respect how T-ara manage to handle all the hate towards them.

Sure u can ..u can check in google some forums still there and u will see reaction usually same whats in hallyu8 and even in allkpop forums so as in NB

I was on Tumblr and saw a huge post detailing what they "did" to Hwayoung (not the tweets, but the gifs of bullying and stuff). I didn't know who T-ARA were at the time, actually (it was tagged SNSD). I read through the whole thing out of morbid curiosity and thought some of it seemed kind of forced, and some things seemed a little mean, but I didn't think, "wow, what bitches." I just thought, "I'm glad I'll never have to worry about this as a SONE!!"

 

(Little did I know SNSD would also have a bit of a scandal with a member leaving amidst rumors of discord about two years later.)

 

Less than a year after the bullying scandal exploded, I rediscovered T-ARA through listening to Roly Poly. I loved it, and did a dive deep into their discography, and became a fan. I sought out the post I'd seen and then saw all of the debunking posts and realized I was right, that most of it was really over exaggerated. I accepted that they were in the wrong for tweeting mean things about Hwayoung, but figured they felt justified in doing so, even if that doesn't excuse it. And then I enjoyed the amazing music that they continued to release for years. 

 

I never really would've expected that Hwayoung and Hyoyoung did what they did. I was always quietly supportive of her. I wasn't a fan, but I didn't want anything bad to happen to her. I even collected her photocards when I collected the other members. I just hoped she'd stop talking about T-ARA in interviews because it brought them so much hate. When the screencaps of Hyoyoung threatening Areum came out, I realized that the things that a Hyomin fansite had said happened (she was fighting with Areum because Areum was getting more love than her, that she had thrown her crutches, etc) were really true, and her attitude after the screencaps came out destroyed any good will I had toward her. The staff talking about how she'd verbally abused them did even more damage, and now I'm thinking of getting rid of anything with her face on it that isn't a photobook LOL

i was active on the akp forum that time, but i didn't really follow the scandal that much. i just remember how messy it was when the receipts surfaced one by one.

I hadn't joined H8 quite yet when it initially happened. But I remember it being all over AKP (which isn't surprising since they were one of the ones that milked it to death). I saw a bunch of comments believing that Hwayoung was bullied etc, even when some of the refuting evidence was released. Crazy time back then. Didn't H8 end up making a special subform for the scandal?

The Tara scandal was so big on hallyu8 that it got it's own sub forum under the news section.
