HI guys! I don't know if you guys know me, but I have finally gotten to The Boss' analyses so I would like to ask you guys for your help. I have a bunch of live videos of them singing live but I need to know if throughout their whole discography...what's the highest notes you've ever heard Hyunmin and Mika sing, in falsetto and belting? Also their lowest notes would be the next question haha I'd really appreciate it if you guys could help me out since I don't really know their discography. I just wanna make sure I don't miss out on their full ranges since I'll be focusing on live performances only.

Any help will be appreciated. Thanks guys. ^ ^

I can't say I have the most musical ear but I'll see what I can do. Is there any time you would like them by?

As soon as possible but no rush. I mean I was wondering in case you knew off of the top of your head, I don't wanna cause you any trouble.

oh lol I haven't listened to their discography for a while since they haven't released anything in ages. Off the top of my head I remember this song sounding quite low in general:

Hyunmin's lowish parts are at: 0:32, 2;22

Mika's doesn't sing in the lower parts, actually I have no idea for mika because his voice never sounds low to me, or at least they never give him the lower parts :S

maybe this song: 0:36

for hyunmin: 1:00,

or maybe 0:25 at the end of his part, Hyunmin at 0:50, 2:06

Hyunmin does a few belts around the end of this song (3:00 onwards), highest is probs at 3:57 or 4:28 but they're not that high so idk

3:40 on wards for Hyunmin:

falsettos at 3:36, 3:50, 4:31 for mika, and for hyunmin 4:20 and 4:53

mika is kind of high in this part from around 0:08, 2:40 and 3:05, and then Hyunmin at 2:00 which is one of his highest in a song I think  (this is their latest song btw so their most updated vocals I guess)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nE904z5BKnI

this contains some higher parts by Mika, maybe low, my musical ear is quite shett which is why I have posted so many, around 2:20 onwards for some for some Mika and Hyunmin belts

Mika flasetto at 3:15

soz for being so messy lol

Oh no this is great! Thank you so much.  So Hyunmin's verses in the first song, who's the other guy singing those verses after him? 0:41 in the first song I heard G2. For 0:36 in the second song, who sang that? It was the lowest note I heard so far, it was F#2. Daikoku Danji 0:25, that's Mika singing? 3:57 that you mentioned, there was a C5. He mixed a D5, Hyunmin at 4:53 that you mentioned. Friends..also in that same song, 3:53 that's a G#5, if that's Mika, that's great. If that beginning in Daikoku Danji is him too, that's already C#3 ~ G#5, which is not a bad start. Hyunmin G2 ~ D5 also not bad. He mixes way too high if he's a baritone. Is 4:32 really Mika and not Hyunmin?

Hyunmin 2:00 Bb4, the other ones were Bb4's 0:08 2:40 for Mika. 3:05 Eb5 to F5, that's good again, good idea for their range. Sad Story that 3:15 note was A5 yay! So all I need from him is A2 and I'll be comfortable with him having at least shown a 3 octave range. G2 ~ Eb5 for Hyunmin, C#3 ~ A5 for Mika, I'm sure they can higher/lower. Some random F#2 for someone. lol It's hard cause I can't tell who's singing without their faces and there aren't many color coded lyrics. ã… ã…œ

oh also not sure if you've checked out their youtube channel but I think this video might display some of their lower notes live, or it might be the mic idk

I got some of those videos but I didn't see this one. I'll make sure to look through them well. ^ ^ Thank you again so much for your help!

I'm gonna break this down into parts so it doesn't get too confusing lol

"So Hyunmin's verses in the first song, who's the other guy singing those verses after him?"

that's is Injun, I think I mentioned before that he seems to take a lot of the lower parts in their songs even though he is mid range in the group, well for their harmonies at least

"For 0:36 in the second song, who sang that? It was the lowest note I heard so far, it was F#2"

that's Injun again lol, I was doubtful that it was him but there is an instagram vid of him singing it live:

"Daikoku Danji 0:25, that's Mika singing?"

yep

"Friends..also in that same song, 3:53 that's a G#5, if that's Mika, that's great."

yah that's Mika

"If that beginning in Daikoku Danji is him too, that's already C#3 ~ G#5, which is not a bad start"

I assume you mean Promise here? their Japanese group name romanised is actually Daikoku Danji, they have so many names it can get confusing lol. But yah that is Mika at the start/the first solo part

"Is 4:32 really Mika and not Hyunmin?"

I can't work out what song you mean here sorry :S unless you mean the high part in Friends? that would be Mika

yeah there's a lack of fandom supplied content such as colour coded lyrics, and a lack of uploaded performances since they mostly just stick to concerts (too nugu for any singing shows) and there's no filming allowed -_-

if you hear anything you need member identified then you're more than welcome to pop in here and ask, and I'll keep my ears out for anything that might help you out if anything does end up being uploaded somewhere in the near future lol

You broke it up so clearly haha I feel bad analyzing them cause they lack a lot of mainstream TV appearances and material, but I wanna give them justice cause I know they're higher than average vocalists... It's a shame but they do have material, it's just harder to dig through it. Omg I meant promise yes lol I didn't know their Japanese name yet haha Now I do. 4:32 I meant in Friends as well. lol 4:32 is Mika? But wasn't the part right before that Hyunmin? I hear the somewhat raspy tone quality that Hyunmin has in that section that's why I thought it was him. Awww thank you again! So mhmm okay G2 ~ D5 and C#3 ~ A5, more than 2 octaves for both. I'll listen to their lives and write these analyses as soon as I can. I'll post a thread about them, so keep an eye out for them! ^ ^

oh yeah the part before 4:32 is Hyunmin for sure, then Mika does his falsetto thing. Lol well an analyses on what they have shown is better than nothing at all, and if they ever release anything that shows if they're better or not it can always be updated. I look forward to it :3

I have a new request.. Can you help me find some nice photoshoot pictures of them? I was trying to find HD pictures of their calendar photoshoot but couldn't and like I need just some really nice pictures of them haha It's a bit of a struggle
