Don't you think SM made a bad decision in not sending any of their trainees to P101 knowing how the show became huge and the trainees became popular through the show's exposure? Plus, knowing how a lot of SM idols struggle with getting public recognition, they could've used a show like this to get their name out there before debut.

While SM Rookies/trainees will be put in the rotational mess system group that is known as NCT /uncertain for their future ?

No wonder Hansol left.

After P101 boygroup B.O.I debut, I feel bad for NCT. They will be completely overshadowed by B.O.I who have massive public recognition while NCT still struggling to chart decently during their 2nd year.

I'm sure SM is overambitious with trying hard to make NCT the next EXO but with P1O1's B.O.I.'s massive public and getting all the fangirls in Korea these days, it seems like that aim is far from their reach. B.O.I will be next big trend and their members will be "it" status that NCT wished they could.

It wouldn't be fair. One thing I enjoy about the show is that it gives a chance to trainees from small agencies.

i dont think sm needs it and as much as a i love the show

just being on the show doesnt guarantee for your group after the show, the group from the show will have success but then the individual groups well thats a different story

for big companies the cons outbalance the pros

Somi is a trainee from JYP (Big 3), y'all didn't say it was unfair back then.

So when it comes to SM/NCT, y'all are like, "it will be unfair to other nugu trainees!!"

I only watched Produce 101 SE1 after I.O.I. disbanded, but I do remember people on this forum complaining it wasn't fair that she joined the show, because she was from JYP and was already well-known because of Sixteen.

It would really be unfair. If a girl who didn't make the cut for a JYP group could dominate like Somi did, just imagine the stratospheric level at which an SM male would be comparatively.

Pros: increased public awareness

Cons: incoming fangirl mess, subjected to Mnet editing, banned from major broadcast stations for a period of time, no guaranteed transfer of popularity to their future group, company loses full control of the trainee and has to work with 8+ different companies for every decision for a year, also brings down the image of the company if the trainee isn't one of the best.

No, I don't want any of my boys getting bandwagon hate just because they're from SM

Hansol is more interested im the dance path and I think it's a win for him. And I'm sure the "messy" NCT system will flow just fine.
