How do you find typical value for bell shaped?

I assume bell curve = standard normal distribution

 

In that case of the IQR, the 75th percentile would be at +0.674 and the 25th percentile at -0.674 since it is symmetric about 0. Thus the IQR is the difference, ie 1.348.

 

i know i have to use the IQR formula for skewed any uniform, but what about bell shaped?
