Season 1 had more iconic performances, more iconic moments, more talented trainees compared to the ones this season, and the substance of the show itself is no different from season 2, you can argue with me if you want but plenty of s2 watchers who didn't watch s1 only refused to watch it because it was full of girls and lots of boy group stans have a superiority complex (Just like lots of girl group stans have a superiority complex but in this thread we are talking specifically about boy group stans).

 

And because I see it being mentioned here in the replies, salty s1 fans are only mad at Mnet because OIO will get more benefits and a longer contract than IOI did, then Mnet made Downpour one of the songs for vocal evaluation and it was like the icing on the cake, is IOI's final song and a song that in their eyes should be only for IOI and IOI fans, now if you think that bit is stupid, just remember is fan sentimentality and you probably have it too for your bias group.

People think they are the pioneer, the originals just because they watched season 1. Personally, season 2 is much better than season 1. I cant even get through 5 episodes of season 1 before I dropped it and just watched the clips mnet released
