Acai Berry 751
OK it's not really a question but I'm losing my mind and idk what's going on pls help me So like two months ago I danced and stretched everyday and eventually I started feeling worse with my knees (with my one knee actually); I couldn't do any exercises because they would hurt me and I had this weird feeling of my knee being... blocked? I mean, it wasn't blocked because I could walk but it felt really uncomfortable. I couldn't really straighten my injured leg because it was soooo uncomfortable. I decided to give it some time, after one month I did some medical tests but they didn't really show anything. My bones are ok and there's nothing serious going on with my knee so it's probably overload. The thing is that it's been two months already and my knees hasn't fully recovered yet. There are days when I feel better, but then I feel worse again and I'm starting to lose hope that my knee will ever recover Has anyone of you weak knees as well? I know that recovery takes long when it comes to knee injuries but I'm really worried and pissed off right now, can someone settle me down
Honeystan 10,291
Same thing happened to my knee. The doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I did physical therapy and everything and it didn't really help whatever the problem was. They checked for air pockets, cracked cartilage, floating bone fragments, weakened joints, but still couldn't pinpoint the issue, so couldn't really figure out how to help. Honeystan 10,291
Has it got better for you eventually? There's still random crackling and pain but most days it's fine. I'm really thinking they missed something with the cartilage.
5th_wall 1,042
If it is overload, you could try taping it?
Acai Berry 751
If it is overload, you could try taping it? Yup, that's what did! I've had my knee taped for two weeks already. It feels better because now I can actually straighten it but it still feels not THAT comfortable but honestly I don't know if there's something wrong or if it's just me panicking. My knee feels stiffer (it's not a bad thing in this case because it feels also safer) but honestly I don't know if it's stiff because of the injury or the tapes, I'm confused. puellarum generatio 3,628
I used to have problems with my knees. My doctor sent me to a podiatrist, it's all good now. I don't feel like we have the same thing though.

Tape makes it stiffer, so that would be normal. That'll go away once you go without the tapes again. If your bones are okay but you are still feeling pain to the point where movement is difficult, you could ask for a more thorough check-up. Tapes are never going to cure you so please make sure they don't overlook anything.
TinyKimLeader 746
Did you do MRI scan? I got MCL injury, grade 2 tear, and it took for more than 2 months to until my knee didnt feel anything not even a slighest pain to move. I implemented the RICE (rest, ice, compression, elevation), did physio but only for few weeks because i was lazy, then used knee bracket even when I was sleeping (since i move a lot when i'm sleeping and it made me stretched my leg)
littlemaru 796
No, I haven't, should I? If you want to. They're expensive and sessions only last a couple minutes but I have a friend with back pain issues and slight sclerosis. She feels better after every session. You can... maybe look into it and see if it's worth trying?
Kstarnet 1,502
You should buy this, All you have to do is to rub little amount of the medicine onto the affected area. it works on me
PeachyKeys! 599
I have weak knees too. I'm sorry you've been going through all that! Have you tried going to a chiropractor or podiatrist? Have you tried rubbing ointments as well? My family use Robb, Aboniki Balm, Olba's oil with Vaseline or Loko Balm with Vaseline. If there are any Afro-Carribbean stores near you, you can find those products there. When you do get all healed up, try doing lower impact sports. I've found swimming was easier on my knees. Idk about all the other joints...
Kayden411 6,540
I suffer from it - a mixture of the industry I work in (security and personal protection and being on my feet for 12-15 hours a day) and a weight gain too. Luckily my mother's a professional sports massage therapist so I get regular massage and treatment on affected areas - aside from that I just try to take it easy and ease my knees into action.
