Whoever said angels don’t exist has obviously never met our Hae-sung. While he still has a lot of lessons to learn and to teach, he never stops thinking of those around him first and does all he can to take care of them. As he faces his own mortality all over again, it takes a very special person to worry more about others than he does about himself.

EPISODE 21 RECAP

Reunited21-22-00036.jpg Reunited21-22-00026.jpg

CEO Cha tells Hae-sung that he knows who killed the bully Jung-chul on the night that Hae-sung died. Hae-sung hesitantly asks who it was, and CEO Cha says with great glee, “It was Young-joon. That night, the person who murdered the student is your brother, Sung Young-joon.â€

He explains that he covered up the fact that Young-joon was the killer, then put Young-joon through medical school because he felt sorry for Hae-sung.

Shocked, Hae-sung refuses to believe him. CEO Cha says that he’d better believe him before the others come, and he tosses Hae-sung a document listing all of Young-joon’s school expenses. The document confirms Ha-sung’s worst fears, and unable to face the truth, he runs out of CEO Cha’s office.

COMMENTS

What a great episode. I love how it balanced the light romantic moments with Hae-sung’s growth as a character, allowing Hae-sung to evolve in his journey without bogging the story down. I’m glad that Hae-sung met Grandmother when he did, because I like that his reason for returning may not be to solve a mystery after all, but just to live and love and ease the pain of those he left behind. Hae-sung really embraced that message wholeheartedly, which doesn’t surprise me, being the sunny, optimistic kid that he is.

I really like where things are going with Hae-sung setting up the food truck for Min-joon and Jung-won. It’s really looking like the show is setting up Jung-won and Min-joon to be together once Hae-sung is gone, though whether that means as friend, business partners, or something more is still unclear. The food truck solution gets rid of the uncomfortably uneven power dynamic between them as employer and employee, and hopefully puts Min-joon and Jung-won on equal footing so that their friendship can flourish. Even if they never become more than friends and colleagues, that would still be great, since they do need each other in a lot of ways.

It’s a credit to the show that, even though I’ve suspected Young-joon of being the bully’s killer all along, I still felt Hae-sung’s dismay and grief to hear that his brother is guilty. I don’t know if Hae-sung will make the connection that ultimately, Young-joon is responsible for his own untimely death, because Hae-sung doesn’t think that way. But even though I believe wholeheartedly that Jung-chul’s death was an accident (he probably attacked Young-joon again, and Young-joon was defending himself), it’s true that if that hadn’t happened, Hae-sung wouldn’t have found Jung-chul and run for help, putting him in the path of CEO Cha’s car. I’m betting that the reason Young-chul distanced himself from his family is because he does think that way, and feels guilty for starting the chain of events that ended with Hae-sung’s death. And not only that, but he let Hae-sung be blamed for Jung-chul’s death, while Young-joon profited.

I don’t believe for one instant that CEO Cha put Young-joon through medical school out of guilt and the goodness of his heart. In fact, I’m convinced he has neither goodness nor a heart at all. My theory is that Young-joon witnessed Hae-sung’s accident as he was fleeing the school after injuring Jung-chul, and that CEO Cha put him through school as payoff for his silence. It’s probably another reason that Young-joon doesn’t speak to his family anymore — fear that he’ll weaken and tell them the truth, that he sold out for personal gain. Even though he was a child, he grew up, and could have cancelled the agreement at any time.

I adored Mr. Mystery as Hae-sung’s guide into what it means to come back from the dead, but I also loved the poetic beauty of the fact that once his personal purpose was finished and he had no more to teach Hae-sung, he peacefully went back. I’ve been expecting Hae-sung to meet someone else who’s come back who could teach him more, but I like the twist that instead, he was found by someone who loved a man who came back. I think that Mr. Mystery’s purpose in Hae-sung’s journey was to teach him how things work, and that Grandmother’s purpose was to show Hae-sung that his reason for returning isn’t to solve a mystery but to just live, and that those who have lost someone twice can still live happy, full lives. Hae-sung is going to have a difficult time leaving Jung-won and his siblings behind when it’s time, so I’m glad that Grandmother was there to teach him that his coming back is a precious gift, and that that’s what they’ll remember when he leaves again.

This is totally wishful thinking on my part, but I can’t help but hope that Hae-sung gets to meet at least one more person who has come back, to teach him the final lesson of letting go. Is it too much to ask for that person to be the bully who was killed on the night that Hae-sung died? Hae-sung could be Jung-chul’s mentor and help him make right the things that he did wrong to others, bringing his own experience full circle. There wold be a beautiful symmetry for the two to have a chance to meet again and mend their misunderstandings, and forgive each other and Young-joon for their parts in both of their deaths.

This show really delivers on the cute, and I’m loving every second. Watching Hae-sung as he cares for his loved ones and even makes new friends is so heartwarming on a purely visceral level. But although he’s making an effort to just enjoy the time he’s been given, there are still problems that will have to be faced sooner or later, whether he likes it or not.

EPISODE 23 RECAP

Staring at the food truck, Min-joon finally finds his voice and asks Hae-sung what this is about. Hae-sung says it’s their new restaurant, and a look of incredulous wonder comes over Min-joon’s face.

Jung-won jumps inside to admire the equipment, though she notes that it’s a little tight for three people. Hae-sung says that he’ll be working with Min-joon in the truck because he has another plan for Jung-won: She will focus on entering a character contest. Min-joon backs up Hae-sung, and they agree to open the food truck on the day of the contest deadline as a show of solidarity.

Reunited23-24-00052.jpg Reunited23-24-00057.jpg

The guys get to work creating a menu and designing dishes to sell, even taking things like their aprons seriously. Jung-won works on creating a character to enter into the contest, and after many revisions and rejections, she settles on an adaptation of the cute little dog on the food truck.

Finally the day arrives, and Jung-won sends in her character submission with a happy little squeal. Min-joon and Hae-sung open the food truck by the river, prepared to start a new chapter in their careers. Jung-won gets dressed for the opening, even wearing the blue hair ribbon from Hae-sung.

COMMENTS

I knew there had to be more about the murder that hasn’t been revealed yet. I don’t trust CEO Cha as far as I can throw him, and he’s the only person who has said that Young-joon killed the bully that night. I have a feeling that the truth is much more complicated and much, much worse than a simple case of violence between students going terribly wrong.

Although Hae-sung has dropped his search for the truth on the night he was killed (for now), I’m glad that the show hasn’t forgotten Young-joon. He has a lot to atone for regardless of whether he’s guilty of killing his bully, both to his family and to Hae-sung himself. I just want to see Young-joon face his past, mainly because he seems so miserable. I don’t really care about Young-joon’s emotional well-being so much, because he’s never shown himself to be anything but self-centered and heartless towards those he should care about the most. But Hae-sung’s only wish is to see his family and friends live happy lives after he goes, and I have no doubt that, no matter what Young-joon did or didn’t do, Hae-sung would want for his brother to let go of whatever has been weighing him down all these years.

Reunited23-24-00533.jpg

Speaking of the accident, I’m a little worried about Tae-hoon asking so many questions about why Ho-bang and Hae-sung have been looking into the details of that night. I don’t really think Tae-hoon was directly involved, but it’s possible that he knows something that he’s been keeping silent about for whatever reason. I’m scared that his digging around is going to get him in big trouble, because at this early stage, I fear that there’s still a lot we don’t know about the truth of that night.

It was so sweet of Hae-sung to take Jung-won to his happy place when she needed a pick-me-up. I think that Grandmother had him work to get his mind off his problems, and it was smart of him to think of that for Jung-won and generous of him to share it with her. It nearly had his biggest secret outed though (that he’s not back forever) when he forgot that Grandmother might mention her husband coming back. Even though I don’t necessarily agree with Hae-sung’s decision to keep it a secret for so long (because what if he disappears before he gets a chance to explain?), I admit that I held my breath. I dread Jung-won finding out that Hae-sung is going to leave her again.

Reunited23-24-00734.jpg

It was also really sweet to see Jung-won’s distress over the lost hairpin once she realized its significance. She doesn’t acknowledge her feelings for Hae-sung publicly, or even to herself a lot of the time, so I was glad that the hairpin meant as much to her as it does to him for sentimental reasons. Spending so much time looking for it demonstrated how important Hae-sung is to Jung-won, even though she doesn’t feel comfortable saying so yet.

This week’s episodes were pretty low-key, focusing mostly on Hae-sung’s relationships and his learning how to just enjoy the fact that he’s been given time to be with his loved ones again. But it feels like a lot of scenarios were being set up for some pretty major blowouts next week. Min-joon is beginning to realize that Hae-sung and Jung-won’s relationship isn’t exactly as they say it is, and I’m concerned that he’s going to find out Hae-sung’s secret and take it badly, which would be heartbreaking just as their bromance is finally taking off.

I really adore their friendship, especially the way that, despite their age difference, Hae-sung and Min-joon relate to each other as equals and genuinely like and respect each other. I’m afraid that the discovery that Hae-sung isn’t Jung-won’s cousin, but her childhood first love — not to mention the tiny complication that he’s back from the dead — will be too much for Min-joon to process and he’ll do or say something awful. Or even worse, he won’t, but instead he’ll just quietly draw back emotionally and cut himself off from the first good friend he’s ever had. Hae-sung would be fine, but I’m worried that Min-joon is just fragile enough that it could do permanent damage to his tender little heart.

This week is so fun, glad they get their pace back after bit slow in past two week. I guess they slip that food truck thing because SBS have new food truck show lol This new grandma really add depth to the story, something missing after that ahjussi gone. They should let Haesung meet more people with same experience so he can learn more about what happen to him. Again they made Taehoon like an angel, people will throw their TV if the writer made him somehow involved to murder case, his loveline with youngin is just precious to get ruin by that. Last think we can see how this will ended with Haesung take care Minjoon and Jungwon, feel like he give his bless for both of them.

  • Reunited Worlds: Episodes 25-26Reunited25-26-00276.jpg

The friendship between Hae-sung, Jung-won, and Min-joon is growing by leaps and bounds, and watching them being silly together makes my heart happy. They’re starting to count on each other, not just professionally, but also personally, which is just the cutest thing ever. But as Hae-sung moves ever closer to the truth about his death, the truth about his life becomes a problem that needs to be dealt with, if he wants to keep the relationships he cherishes.

EPISODE 25 RECAP

Reunited25-26-00007.jpg\

Ho-bang gets a call from someone who claims to have information about the night that Hae-sung died, and Hae-sung and Jung-won lean close to listen in. The caller says that the student who was murdered in the school was there to meet with a teacher, but he says that he’d prefer to meet with Ho-bang in person before he reveals any more.

He hangs up without making meeting arrangements, but Hae-sung is elated to know that someone may know what happened that night. He and Jung-won think that it’s possible that the teacher killed the bully, and not Young-joon.

Reunited25-26-00045.jpg

The following day, as Hae-sung and Min-joon are setting up the Cha Pasta food truck, they’re approached by representatives from Chungho Department Store. Unaware of Min-joon’s connection to CEO Cha, they invite the food truck to participate in a street food festival and contest that’s being held in honor of the department store’s fifteenth anniversary.

Min-joon turns them down flat, but Hae-sung is excited to hear that CEO Cha will be attending the festival. He talks to Min-joon about participating, but Min-joon tells him that it was Chungho Department Store’s CEO Cha who caused him to lose his restaurant.

Reunited25-26-00060.jpg Reunited25-26-00063.jpg

It’s news to Hae-sung that CEO Cha is the father who abandoned Min-joon as a child. He’s further shocked as he puts the pieces together and realizes that his friend Tae-hoon must be the younger brother that Min-joon barely knows. But after thinking about it, he tells Min-joon that this is even more reason why they should enter the contest — to prove to CEO Cha that they’ll succeed no matter what he does to them.

Ho-bang gets another call from the informant, who asks to meet him at the police station. The man reveals himself as the brother of the bully, Kyung-chul (I’ve been mistakenly calling him Jung-chul, apologies!), who was killed at the school.

COMMENTS

So many different threads, and they’re all starting to come together, in ways that are much more convoluted and confusing than I ever anticipated. It’s particularly worrying that Teacher Hyun is suddenly showing up as a friend of CEO Cha’s wife. She’s evidently been in hiding since the night that Kyung-chul and Hae-sung died twelve years ago, so why would she suddenly pop back up like nothing ever happened? And why did Tae-hoon’s mother look so unsettled to see her, and feel the need to lie to her husband about it?

I’ve been assuming that Tae-hoon’s mother was just an empty-headed society lady, but apparently I was very wrong, and she knows something important about that night. Most likely Tae-hoon’s mother knows that Teacher Hyun is a witness to the true events of the night when the two boys died, which I think we still know very little about. And it brings me back to a worry I keep circling around — was Tae-hoon somehow involved?

When I first heard about this drama and its premise, I had these expectations that it would be very deep and introspective, about one boy’s journey of discovery of what it meant to be human and alive, what love means, etc. And in a way it is, but as far as the tone of the show goes, it’s not at all what I expected. For the first few weeks after realizing that Reunited Worlds was going to be very different from what I thought, I was a bit disappointed and confused as to some of the choices the characters were making (the big one being, why is nobody questioning how Hae-sung came back from the dead?). But in the past week or so I’ve come to accept the show for what it is, and once I stopped expecting something I wasn’t going to get, I find that I really like it a lot more than I thought.

Yes, the world that Hae-sung and Jung-won live in is simplistic and convenient, with solutions to their problems showing up right when they need them. But other than that, I’m enjoying their story a lot. In particular I appreciate how the show balances the romance and the mystery angles well, never getting bogged down in one at the expense of the other. I also like that the mysteries of the night that Hae-sung died aren’t glaringly obvious, and that the clues Hae-sung receives are just enough to further his investigation without either giving away too much or being too vague. Each hint opens up a whole new set of possibilities of what really happened that night.

Speaking of mysteries, I’m glad that Min-joon finally connected all of the loose ends. Now he knows that Jung-won knew the boy who died in the accident, the one his uncle took the blame for. He’s kind of a doofus socially, but he’s also smart and observant, so I like that he figured it out on his own. I’m also glad that Jung-won and Hae-sung are growing closer to Min-joon and starting to feel guilty about lying to him, and that they feel like they can tell him the truth (though I’m unclear whether that just means coming clean about their relationship, or if they also intend to tell him that Hae-sung came back from the dead).

But I’m getting worried that they’re putting it off for too long, and that Min-joon is going to figure it out on his own. As sweet as he is and as much as he’s enjoying having friends, Min-joon also holds a grudge like nobody’s business. I’m afraid that if Jung-won and Hae-sung don’t speak up first, Min-joon will be so hurt by their lies that he’ll cut them off completely. And I love their three-way friendship so much — I don’t want to see Min-joon hurt, or the trio split up out of hurt feelings.

As Hae-sung is discovering, it isn’t easy to keep something like coming back from the dead a secret for long, especially when you make no real effort to hide it. But he’s being pulled in two directions as he tries to arrange for his siblings to live comfortably after he’s gone, while at the same time pursuing the truth about the night that he died. If Hae-sung isn’t careful, he could lose someone very important while he’s looking the other way.

Ho-bang looks up the license plate number of the car Teacher Hyun left the gallery in, and discovers that it was Tae-hoon’s mother’s car. He reports back to Hae-sung and Jung-won, and Min-joon sees the three friends talking. He goes inside to the gallery office and thinks about how Hae-sung seems to know all of Jung-won’s friends.

Back at the station, Ho-bang calls Tae-hoon’s mother and introduces himself as a detective. She lies about knowing Teacher Hyun and about being home for questioning, offering to meet him elsewhere instead. When CEO Cha asks her about it, she lies again, saying that an old friend wants to see her.

Oof, I knew we were going to have a problem if Min-joon figured out the truth about Hae-sung on his own — though I have to say, I’m thrilled that someonefinally had a normal reaction to seeing a boy who’s back from the dead! For a few minutes, anyway. It hurt to see him so hurt at being lied to – I can’t help it, Min-joon is such a squishy little panda, and there’s something vulnerable about him that makes me just want to see him happy and loved always. I’m actually surprised that he got over his upset so quickly, but I think that he values Hae-sung and Jung-won’s friendship too much to hold onto his hurt for very long.

And I’m happy that the air is finally cleared between Min-joon and Hae-sung, because at least on Hae-sung’s end, you could tell that keeping such a big secret from someone he was growing so close to was really weighing on him. I liked seeing Min-joon decide to relate to Hae-sung as equals, instead of adult-to-teenager, because now it feels like they can truly be friends without that barrier of secrets between them. If I’m being really honest, Hae-sung and Min-joon’s friendship is my favorite part of this drama, and when it’s time for Hae-sung to go, their goodbye is going to be the one that really hurts.

Reunited27-28-00331.jpg

Every time Hae-chul is given a scene, I wish that we got to see more of his story. It’s partly the fact that I pretty much love everything that Kwak Dong-yeon does, and partly that he’s selling the former-gangster-turned-single-father role so impressively. I’m a sucker for stories in which the tough guy is reduced to a marshmallow by a tiny little girl, and I love Hae-chul’s struggle to straighten his life out and be a good father to his baby.

In fact, I feel that most of Hae-sung’s siblings’ stories would make interesting full-length dramas, and I almost wish that there were fewer siblings so that their stories could have been more fleshed out. I know I would watch an entire drama about Hae-chul becoming a better man for his daughter’s sake, or Young-joon denying his family because of an embarrassing past but coming to terms with it, or Soo-ji’s struggles with her illness. It’s like the writer had so many good stories and tried to squeeze them all into one drama, which isn’t a bad thing, it’s just that they’re all so interesting that it leaves me feeling unsatisfied because we only get bits and pieces of each of them.

Speaking of Young-joon, now that the truth about that night twelve years ago is looking more complicated than we expected, I’m not so sure that he’s guilty of anything besides witnessing something he shouldn’t have (and kudos to the writer for playing out the mystery so well that it keeps me on my toes!). Every clue changes my theories on what happened that night, and at this point I’m thinking that Young-joon was a witness to both Kyung-chul’s murder and Hae-sung’s accident. I still think that CEO Cha paid his way through school and is banishing him to the U.S to keep him from telling anyone that CEO Cha was really driving the car that hit Hae-sung, but I can’t help but wonder how Kyung-chul’s death ties in to CEO Cha’s involvement, or why CEO Cha would tell Hae-sung that Young-joon killed Kyung-chul. I do love that the mystery is a real mystery, and how with the addition of a new possible killer, everything changes. There’s nothing more tedious than a predictable mystery, and if nothing else, Reunited Worlds has given us a mystery that is truly confounding.

Damnit, this week episode is so fun and give some suspense with bit by bit revealing the mystery. They should moving fast like this from few episode before, giving some false hint here and there while keeping enjoyness from warm story of haesung sibling and friend. Now its near the end I get feel this could be get more longer since the story getting interesting again since last week. I need to give the MVP to that Granny Do she really ressurect Haesung and give a life to the story in past couple week, completely game changer and probably will be Haesung shield to confront that Taehoon father money power.

What I realizing is this drama didnt have any pure villain. When people expecting some bloody triangle loveline but they make it those three like happy siblings who depend on each other. People guessing Taehoon will be one of main suspect but turn out they made him as complete angel, how is that possible. Taehoon father also showinf his tsundere side while giving slight approval to Taehoon x Youngin even he didnt know yet who she is and how he handle his wife you can see he actually not a bad father figure. Youngjoon also seem not relates with the murder whatsoever. That Jinjoo x Hobang x Minsook love triangle should come earlier lol that fun knowing the fact he is son of chaebol.

Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching??

So, what are we all watching this week?

What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

  • Reunited Worlds: This show feels like it was written by a 10-year-old imagining how adults act. People say things and react to situations, and I’m thinking, “Uh, that’s not how people are!†And while I’m still pulling for Hae-sung in a general sense, it really bothers me how he swoops in with big life decisions for other people and just tells them this is how they’ll do things now, and everyone lights up happily and agrees to it (see: previous note about 10-year-old logic driving the plot). The only reason I’m not actively infuriated by his vaguely paternalistic attitude is because I see this as the fault of a weak writer and not, say, a message the drama actually intends to convey.

  • Reunited Worlds: Oh, so you managed to succeed with your food truck in about a week, and now you’re just going to open a new restaurant? Just like that? This show makes me facepalm, hard. I know it’s a fantasy drama, but it’s a fantasy in ways I was not expecting.

  • Reunited Worlds: Episodes 31-32Reunited31-32-00312.jpg

It’s an episode full of shocking discoveries as Hae-sung grows ever closer to solving the mystery of who killed the bully from all those years ago. He may regret ever starting down this path if the truth becomes more of a burden than remaining in the dark. Hae-sung may have a difficult decision ahead of him — keep silent and hurt those he loves, or tell the truth and hurt them even worse than before?

EPISODE 31 RECAP

Young-joon confesses to Hae-sung that despite what he said before, CEO Cha did pay his way through medical school. He asks why Hae-sung wanted to know, so Hae-sung tells him that CEO Cha had already told him about it, and he wanted to confirm it with Young-joon.

Young-joon had thought that when Hae-sung asked about it, that he was there to judge him for taking money from CEO Cha, so he’s surprised that Hae-sung was actually looking into Kyung-chul’s death. He says that he came to the wrong place to ask his question.

Hae-sung says, “You believe that I’m the murderer, don’t you?†He asks why, and Young-joon says that a lot of people think that he’s the murderer because he hated Kyung-chul for beating him up, and because he wasn’t home that night. But he insists that he wasn’t even near the school when Kyung-chul was killed, so if it wasn’t him, then it must have been Hae-sung.

But Hae-sung tells Young-joon firmly that he didn’t do it either. He realizes that whoever CEO Cha is covering for, it’s not Young-joon. He thinks to himself, “There’s no way… Tae-hoon?â€

Young-joon tells Hae-sung that he’s getting married soon, and that he doesn’t want any distractions from that. He asks Hae-sung not to pull him into this matter any further.

I can’t believe it was Tae-hoon all along… I suspected he knew what happened, but I never expected that everything happened because of him. Kyung-chul’s death, Hae-sung’s accident, Hae-sung’s family falling apart — it was all because Tae-hoon confronted Kyung-chul. I don’t think Tae-hoon is guilty of murder, obviously, and of course he’s a good person. He was just a kid who never intended any of it to happen, and I believe that he’s been haunted by the truth all these years. But because he got in over his head with a bully, and because he responded to the bully’s taunting, two boys died and their lives were destroyed, while Tae-hoon got off scot-free and went on to live a charmed life.

But I don’t think we know the whole story yet, because Dong-seok is definitely hiding something. It’s very strange that he’s popping up now, just coincidentally dating the mother of Hae-sung’s niece and influencing her to sue for custody when it wasn’t even on her mind. It almost seems like he’s trying to hurt Hae-sung’s family by taking away someone they love, and I can’t help but wonder if he’s on some sort of revenge path for Kyung-chul’s death. I don’t think Dong-seok planned to ever be found out, because his reaction to seeing Jung-won was to avoid her and hide, which is definitely fishy. I don’t think he’s the mild-mannered lawyer he pretends to be, and I believe that he’s probably the one person who knows the full truth of what happened that night twelve years ago.

On a different note, as everyone seems to be running around getting things done, I feel like Jung-won is sort of just stagnating as a character. Although she’s pursuing her own dreams now — sort of — she’s not really changing much as a person as a result of having Hae-sung back in her life.

Toward the beginning of the drama, I felt like the difference in energy between Jung-won as a teenager and as an adult (and her seeming lack of maturity for her age in the present day) made sense, because of course she was deeply affected and stunted by Hae-sung’s untimely death. But I expected to see her blossom and change back into her old spunky, snarky self, at least a little bit, especially with having her first love back in her life.

But emotionally, she still feels very one-note to me, which makes me uninterested in her beyond how much Hae-sung cares for her. It’s very possible that this is also a result of the fact that to me, Yeo Jin-gu had a lot more chemistry with Jung Chae-yeon (who played Jung-won as a teen) than he does with Lee Yeon-hee — I just loved their scenes together, and Hae-sung’s interactions with adult Jung-won don’t have that same sparkle. I would love to see Yeo Jin-gu and Jung Chae-yeon play opposite each other in another drama some day, as leads for the entire show.

Surprisingly, I feel that the people who have experienced the most growth since having Hae-sung back are Hae-chul and Young-in. Hae-chul has gone from a floundering wastrel loan shark, to a man who wants nothing more than to be a good father to his daughter to the point that he’s turned his whole life around. And Young-in, who used to cower and shrink away from anyone who even looked at her sternly, now has the guts to stand firm and tell the man she loves that she’s not willing to be treated badly by his mother for the rest of her life, even if it means losing him. They’ve both become such impressively strong people, and that kind of character growth is what I was hoping to see from this drama from the very beginning.

Lastly, I feel so bad for poor Min-joon — he was the last to know about Hae-sung being back from the dead, and now he’s the first to know that Hae-sung will be leaving again. What a terrible burden, to be unable to tell the person you care about because you know it would devastate them. Or worse, to choose to tell them, and be the one who devastates them all over again.
