in 90% of situations, no. i think most break-ups are messy. it's really rare to find ex-lovers being friends again... unless they're really mature and there wasn't any betrayal or abuse involved that ended their relationship. also if they're still friends there's a chance they're still lowkey in love... but yeah you can also just stay on awkward "friendly" terms but not actually hang out or even trust each other, just not outright hate your ex i guess. if that was me, i don't think i would be, but it really depends on how the relationship ends and why.

Maybe between people in their later years under certain circumstances. I know ex-spouses

who are great friends but have not seen people my age or any of my friends stay friends with

their exes.It's better to end on good terms and move on imo.

I have two friends who used to date and are still friends. I think it's possible but it's not common and it depends on the people themselves

They can depending in what terms you end up your relation with them, but after breaking up is better to distance yourself for a while and not try to keep them close as friends.

Eh it depends on the situation/why they broke up/how long they were friends before they dated/friend groups. Two of my friends dated(for years) and broke up but they're still friends just fine(and i's been a long time since they dated). I'm still pretty good friends with my ex as well. My best friend is still good friends with both her exes.

It takes time usually but yes it happens quite often especially when both parties have already moved on.I've seen exs hang out together and have fun with their new partners . Of course not all people are that mature and some breakups are so tragic that it's difficult to move on and forget.

I'm actually really good friends with an ex. We still can go entire days talking non stop. I'd say he contacts me like once a week and we talk for a whole day.

I still go see him. Not all that often since he is an hour and a half drive away. The drive is not worth it for going out as often as I used to since we are no longer having sex haha. I see him like once every two months though

Sad since we were really good friends and had chemistry but we messed it up by making it complicated post breakup. Hey, he was a dick to me in the phone call so...sad times.
