Are we Witnessing the End of the Big 3?

A couple years ago, the Big Three agencies dominated K-pop. All of their idols were at their peak, the new groups were hitting daebak right off the bat, and most importantly they were ALWAYS in activities. Even outside of music, they were on variety shows, dramas, CFs.

Now all their groups are in decline, and the new groups other than Twice aren't really hitting daebak. They're doing okay but they don't dominate the media and sales the same way older groups did.

Meanwhile groups from small companies are starting to come up sprinting because of the international audience.

What do you guys think?

I doubt it. Even when newer groups from the Big 3 release a song or older groups have a comeback, it gets a lot of attention more easily than smaller companies. I don't follow activities, but I still feel groups from the big 3 have a bigger advantage than others. Of course other groups from smaller companies always have an opportunity to climb up or make it big too.

Obviously I'm not talking about the SNSD days, but EXO's "struggle" was blown out of proportion. And f(x) didn't do that well at first but they rose up rather quickly. Compare the first two years of fx to the first two years of RV.

What about Winner?

We'll see about Winner. They've been on shaky ground. There's no telling how they'll end up tbh!

SNSD days :imstupid:

Journalists actually called EXO SM's biggest mistake for a while lmao, if anything their struggle is underrated. People were baised against them since they were from SM since the beginning. They needed a growl to grab the fanbase.

fx didn't rise up rather quickly, I can assure you that as a fan :imstupid: the market wasn't as competitive and they could have risen a lot but SM never utilised them properly.
