lmao amongst computer geeks, dell is usually the worst to pick from unless you get their xps series or inspiron series i believe

if you're looking for quality over price, then i would suggest alienware or hp spectre or lenovo

 

edit: woops i just saw u said desktop. yes, the best option is to build it yourself but if it's laptop then read above

Really depends on what you're going to be using the computer for. If it's for gaming, I recommend buying parts yourself or going to a pc store and ask them to recommend parts and possibly build it for you. If it's just for regular use like work/surfing/etc. then you could go with an Acer for example.
