No song this year had huge impact til now, so it will be quite close, unless ofc someone comes up with a release that blows up everything !!

^^^

exactly, so is not too late for those who will comeback in 3rd quarter. They still have a chance, especially if is a big group.

(I'm saying this because fans voting play an important role in awards shows). The contenders from 1st and 2nd quarter, have an advantage for releasing their songs earlier this year, more weeks of charting, but don't have a big fandom support ( Iu, winner, psy). So a song from 3rd quarter who blows up still has a chance against them.

but some big acts are going to have their comeback in this 2nd half of the year tho

Isn't knock knock a bigger contender than signal?

LMAO @ delusional kpop comments laugh.png song of year = big Impact+ sales+ longevity.

only Ailee's OST  had that for now there ''Marry me'' but it was released in 2014

they will give the award even if no song had a big impact, they will have to choose something :)

This year has been a little meh, no one really had that amazing impact just yet but the few contenders would be:

Knock Knock

Really Really

Through The Night/Palette

Through The Night had already fallen behind Knock Knock during the day and I don't see Palette lasting that long either.

It'll be between Knock Knock and Really Really unless something huge gets released after this.
