Can Someone Tell Me What LOOΠΔ (Loona) Is?

Is it a music project that showcases different solo artists?

Or a group that introduces each member by giving them their own song and video?

They also have music videos with half the members, 1/3 of the members, or two of the members.

I couldn't even find a music video with all of them in it.

And apparently Loona is an entire universe.?

I tried to give these girls a listen, but they just confuse tf outta me.

Basically, that. They're introducing members of the group with each of their own music videos, and after they're done introducing all the members, they'll debut.

In Chinese, they are called girls of the month. Supposedly, each girl debuts every month, representing a different thing (eg Vivi is a robot), and they officially become a girl group in 12 months. But they skipped a month or two so people got confused.

The group LOOΠΔ was first revealed at the end of September 2016. Set to be a 12-member group, one new member will be revealed per month until their debut in 2018. Each new member revealed, dubbed "Idarui Sonyeo" (Girl of the Month), will release a solo song as well as a new song with members who have already been revealed.

Each member music video will also take place in a different country. On October 4th, member HeeJin was the first to reveal her solo single. HeeJin's music video was filmed in Seoul, and the acoustic version was filmed in Paris, France.

Member HyunJin was revealed next on October 27th, and her solo single was released on November 17th. Her music video was filmed in TokyoJapan and the duet song with HeeJin was filmed in France.

The third member HaSeul was revealed on December 8th, and her single was released on December 15th. The music video for her solo song was filmed in Iceland, and the group song was filmed in London, England. The fourth member YeoJin was revealed on January 3, 2017 and her single released on January 16th. The MV for "My Melody" by HaSeul & YeoJin was filmed in Taipei, Taiwan.

On February 5, 2017 a video was posted to LOONA's YouTube account revealing there would be a sub-unit consisting of three already revealed members and one new member. The fifth member ViVi was revealed on February 12th. The group's first sub-unit LOOΠΔ 1/3 debuted on March 10th, and ViVi's single was released on April 17th. The music video for ViVi's song "Everyday I Love You" was filmed in Busan, South Korea. When the video reached 300,000 views, a video for "Everyday I Need You" featuring mystery member JinSoul was released. The video was filmed in Hong Kong, China. LOONA's sixth member, KimLip, was revealed on May 15th. Her songs were released on the 23rd. It was also announced that KimLip would be in the second sub-unit of the group.

I'm more excited about the units than the full group itself, they'll have 3 units with the members revealed

First unit 1/3:

second unit will have the member Kim Lip and 3 others

But go read their wiki, it has plenty of info and you just have to do a bit of research to understand everything

You've nailed it right there.

They're introducing the girls one by one before the official debut but also if you have not seen them all of them together in a video is because the company is preventing for that to happen before the debut.

At first it was one girl; then the second was introduced, she had a solo song and a duet with the first girl; then it came the third girl with a solo song and a trio with the two previous girls. The most they've stacked has been 4 girls in what they call a sub-unit Loona 1/3, so I think that's the max we're getting 4 girls in a sub-unit and maybe a duet or trio in the solo releases.

So in short they release a girl each month and are stacking them in different sub-units of 4 members, so we believe there's going to be 3 sub-units. So after they introduced all the 12 girls and do the 3 sub-units releases only after that is when the full group should debut and it should in the first half of 2018 I believe.
