Why do people don't like seeing their exes again?

I'm just asking cause i'm still naive in love. I notice that most people say they don't want to see their exes again even though they have totally move on and don't hate them anymore. It's ironic coz the person you once look forward in seeing everyday is now the person you less likely to see??

It's a reminder of past mistakes, past self, past naivety. Depending on how the relationship ended.

It really depends on the relationship and the aftermath of the breakup. Some people really can stay friends and still hang out but it's probably pretty rare. Personally I don't care to see my ex simply because I don't like them anymore (messy breakup which gave me a really bad image of them as a person) and it would be awkward because of our history.

The only reason I never want to see my ex again is due to what she did. She pretty much used me as a joke for her and her friends and when any other female would have an interest in me she would scare them off and make it seem like no one liked me but her. I loved her and she strung me along for over 2 years for shits and giggles.

I cutted contact ( he did honestly) with my ex for a year and a half , and then we started to talk again , and after three years since we brake up we get back together again , I still love him the same and so is he , but thats not the case in every relationship , so if you are 100% over your ex , you better not stay in contact with him/her cuz its just gonna drag you down or him/her down to what you had together in the past
