oh was it, i haven't watched ep8 yet so i didnt know it was confirmed. some people are saying it could be something else, but with this ALS challenge i think its either a big hint, or writer noh is trying to distract us.

about the challenge, the just dunk a bucket of ice water over themselves  - it's just raising money for charity and to raise awareness for ALS - a lot of celebrities world wide are doing it

Jo In Sung Joins Worldwide Ice Bucket Challenge

jis-800x450.jpg

Actor Jo In Sung has joined the worldwide movement after hearing about the ice bucket challenge for a good cause from YG Entertainment singer and executive Sean.

On August 18, Jo In Sung’s agency, IOK Company, released a video on its official YouTube account featuring the â€œIt’s Okay, It’s Love†actor who was ready to take on the challenge in order to spread awareness for the neurodegenerative illness ALS.

“It is my honor to join this meaningful campaign. I hope that those who suffer from Lou Gehrig’s disease and also those who suffer from physical and emotional pain get strength from this campaign,†said Jo In Sung in the video.

Prior to getting doused with ice cold water, Jo In Sung said that he wanted to invite his co-actor Lee Kwangsoo, Im Joo Hwan, and the baseball player who is his namesake, Cho In Sung, to join the campaign as well.

After naming the next challengers, Jo In Sung got himself ready to get drenched in cold water while seated on the tub that is used in his drama, “It’s Okay, It’s Love.†With a tub of ice cold water, Lee Kwangsoo, who was holding himself from laughing, walked behind the actor and proceeded to pour the iced water on Jo In Sung’s head.

Jo In Sung tried his best to coolly take on the challenge and even crossed his arms over his chest but the coldness of the water proved to be very powerful and the actor couldn’t contain his surprise and smiled widely while the iced water was being poured over his head and body. Jo In Sung needed some moment to recover from the icey shock and Lee Kwangsoo even helped him regain some body heat by rubbing his chest.

After gaining his composure, Jo In Sung brightly smiled towards the camera and bid the viewers goodbye.

The “Ice Bucket Challenge†is fast becoming a trend among celebrities and well-known personalities primarily in the United States. The challenge requires participants to film themselves while a bucket of ice water is poured on their head. The participants then have to challenge three other friends who would take on the challenge, or donate $100 to the ALS foundation, and upload the video to a social media site.

From the doctor and Jaeyol's conversation about Jaebum's violence in ep7, and Jaebum's letter to his mum in ep9

Why won't you believe what I've said
That p*nk Jaeyul killed him
The son you love
The son you abandoned
You'll see what I'll do.

I really think in the final episodes he's going to seriously injure JY (if not kill him). I mean so far JB has stabbed and beaten JY and hasn't caused any lasting injuries, but as the doctor said in ep7, it's only going to escalate the more he feels like he's been wronged (which he does, and may actually be justified in thinking this)

IOTL #1 in the Important 20-49 demographic

 xDgJH2C.png

Summary:

The article explained that 2049 refers to the generations between 20 years of age to 40 (49, more specifically) years of age, which have become the key audience segment for the broadcasting industry to focus on. Because they have huge spending power, their viewership preference has captured the attention of advertisers and tv stations which produce dramas and variety shows catered for them.

In that paragraph written in red, it mentioned that even though IOTL is ranked third in viewership ratings, behind "Fated to love you" and that tvn drama at the same timeslot, it has always ranked first in the that 2049 audience segment that advertisers mainly focus on. On the other hand, the 2 dramas of kbs 2tv, although with viewership ratings beyond 20%, has attracted low advertising dollars.

Fans Pick the Best 5 Lines from “It’s Okay, It’s Loveâ€

Warning: Mild spoilers ahead!

SBS drama “It’s Okay, It’s Love†is gaining popularity through writer Noh Hee Kyung’s unique ability to draw out the special yet warm relationships between characters. There are many lines that moved viewers emotionally. Just a little more than halfway through with 10 episodes, fans picked the five best lines from the drama, according to TVReport.

2014.08.25_its-okay-its-love-best-5-line

Episode 3 – “Who says a diligent and nice person doesn’t hurt their children? Even my angelic mother hurts me sometimes.â€

Ji Hae Soo (played by Gong Hyo Jin), is a firm believer that a loving mother with a good heart doesn’t have the ability to hurt someone. But Jang Jae Yeol (played by Jo In Sung) tells her differently. His thoughts that the closest people can hurt you the most makes viewers think back on our lives and our surroundings.

Episode 5 – “It can bring you pain and resentment and distress and sadness and despair and misfortune. But it can also bring you the strength to endure all of those things. Then you can call it love.â€

Hae Soo views love as something that brings only bliss and happiness and thrill. When asked what he thought about that, Jae Yeol replies with an unexpected answer. According to him, loving someone can’t always be a sweet and happy experience, but you can heal each other’s wounds through love. Many viewers agreed with his thoughts and gained strength for their own relationships. This also showed their relationship’s distinction from other relationships that have been portrayed in the past, and also expressed writer Noh Hee Kyung’s detailed emotions about love.

Episode 5 – “Come on out, let’s go.â€

Hae Soo finds Jae Yeol sleeping in the bathroom (he has a childhood trauma that forces him to do so). These were her first words that she said nonchalantly as she woke him up. This short but strong line gave not only Jae Yeol but also the viewers a huge relief and realization towards Hae Soo. Jae Yeol feels comfort and warmth in Hae Soo’s behavior when she treated him no differently than she had before. Her words gave realization to the viewers (and to Jae Yeol himself) that he was “different,†not “wrong.†This distinction that had been made left a deep impression on the viewers.

Episode 6 – “I mean that our past scars hold us back, just as we remember old scars that had already past.â€

Jae Yeol makes us as viewers think back on ourselves. Everyone strives for happiness but no one cares or pays attention to the individual hearts that have the keys to that happiness. In the complicated and busy society we live in, there’s not a person that doesn’t possess a personal wound. We say it’s okay when it’s really not okay, and viewers could tell that this line was a message from Noh Hee Kyung, telling us to look back into our neglected hearts and see what’s inside.

Episode 9 – “It’s everyone’s first time in this life, so it’s inevitable that we aren’t perfect, and that’s why we are pitiable, and that’s why we can make some mistakes…â€

These were the words of Young Jin (played by Jin Kyung) when Hae Soo—who loathed her mother due to her past trauma with her mother’s unfaithfulness towards her father—revealed that, after loving Jae Yeol, she began to understand her mother’s loneliness. Her words consoled those who were living constantly trapped in our self-expectations as well as expectations of others. It gave strength, encouraging those to get endure past mistakes and move on.

Meanwhile, the drama has already reached its first climax as Hae Soo and Jae Yeol get deeper into their relationship. But a dark plot twist has been foreshadowed as secrets of Jae Yeol’s past are being revealed one by one. “It’s Okay, It’s Love†also stars Sung Dong Il, Lee Kwang Soo, and EXO’s D.O. It airs every Wednesdays and Thursdays on SBS. With six more episodes to go what do you think will happen?

What are some of your favorite lines from the drama?
