Character Description

Hwang Eun Byul â€“ Starring Ham Eun Jung

She has a twin sister. Currently, Eun Byul works at a publishing company while working as a ghost writer on the side. She has a bad relationship with her twin sister Geum Byul. She had frequent fights with her sister and her mother would always take Geum Byul’s side regardless of who was in the wrong. When Geum Byul got married and Eun Byul married Choi Han Joo, the constant fighting between the siblings seemed to have finally ended but the unexpected happened. Han Joo and her brother-in-law turn out to be sworn enemies. Making matters worse, her mom got into a major scuffle with Han Joo’s mother before the wedding and this created problems with her in-laws for Eun Byul.

Hwang Geum Byul - Starring Lee Joo Yeon

She is Eun Byul’s twin sister. As a former Miss Korea beauty contestant, she currently works in the PR department of a fashion brand. She believes she is superior to other people and treats people with disdain. She uses her looks to get what she wants. She followed her helicopter mom’s career guidance and so she naturally believed that she will marry into a wealthy family and her predictions came true when she married Park Min Ho, the son of a large real estate holder. After marrying well, she thought she would be elevated in her social standings compared to Eun Byul but when her twin sister married Choi Han Joo, the situation became reversed.

Choi Han Joo – Starring Kang Kyeong Jun

He is Eun Byul’s husband and works as a Taekwondo instructor. He was a promising Taekwondo athlete as a teenager. In high school, he faced Park Min-ho in the national Taekwondo finals but Park’s dad fixed the match and he subsequently got branded for having a violent temper in the tournament when protesting his unfair loss. The incident ended his Taekwondo career. After marrying the adorable Eun Byul, he became reminded of his painful past. Eun Byul’s sister is married to Park Min Ho, his enemy who defeated him in the Taekwondo match that was fixed. It was devastating to know that he was now a distant in-law to Park.

Park Min Ho – Starring Cha Do Jin

As Geum Byul’s husband, he is the son of the owner of Nine Fashion group and works for his dad as a general manager. Because he had an oppressive father, he is attracted to strong-willed woman and drawn to Geum Byul who is sassy. When he heard that his sister-in-law was going to marry Han Joo, whom he defeated in a fixed Taekwondo match in high school and whose family has sued his for defrauding them, he tries to prevent them from getting married but eventually he became in-laws with Han Joo through his sister-in-law.

Episode 6 is a more serious episodes that deal with the background feud between Han Joo and Min Hoo families. Min Hoo seems to suffer from the fact that he is only successful due to his daddies help while Han Joo chooses doing things on his own even go against his father at times.

Finally we see some more into the feud between the families, since that is what is going to be the major conflict between the three families.

I'm honestly really enjoying this. Does anyone know if it's being received well in Korea?

The comments in the articles seem to be positive and the ratings seem to be in the 6-8 range, which is about the same of the previous drama that aired in that time slot.

I love how they balance the humor, romance, and serious aspect of this drama. The twins Eun Byul and Geum Byul play off each other perfectly. I love when at the end of episode 9 and beginning of 10 how they were fighting. When Min Ho's parents were coming Eun Byul grabs Geum and they started jumping excitedly to make a seem like they were not fighting. Its one of these gold nuggets when it comes to humor. The romance between Eun Byul and Han Joo is so sweet and awkward. But its relatable in the way that they act around each other. I can't wait to see how they act as a married couple. Episode 10 kind of gave a glimpse to Min Ho's dad' ambition. It seemed stealing the Choi family manor was a way for Min Ho's dad who came from a low background to connect himself to a rich prestige history that belong to the Choi family. Min Ho's father's ambition is to become a politician because he claim that politicians must be honest, but the lawsuit against him for the manor his family have stolen from the Choi family is keeping him from his political goals. By stealing the Choi family residence he has taking on their identity as a well to do family with a rich history. That is where Eun Byul as a writer comes in. Min Ho's father wants her to romanticized his family in a autobiography to make him and his family appear patriotic and full of rich history despite the fact that this history belongs to the Choi family ancestors. The book is to paint him as something that he is not so that he can be acceptable in the eyes of the public who he wants on his side to accomplish what seems to be his political ambition.

I'm also curious about Han Joo's brother, he is planning things and since we know that him and Min Ho's sister will be romantically linked in the future, while right now they both say that they don't want to get married, I wonder if they are planning to write that relationship as him taking advantage of her and her family in order to restore the manor to his family and eventually figure out that he actually likes her, in typical drama fashion.

Ok marathon week 2.

Episode 6

OK things got more interesting.

Now we know how the two love interests are connected.

The sisters interactions are funny as always lol

Episode 7

I love how he got to grab Eunjungs ass in a previous ep but they flash back to the bus plaster on leg scene as the romantic scene lol

Episode 10

Things heating up now.

Next week looks interesting.

Its very strange watching Eunjung doing Tara stuff all week then watching her as someone else in this drama lol

I'm so surprised that she is attending all comeback activities, she must be so so tired! No wonder she is falling asleep backstage again.

The mother and the sister.... souleyesplz.png omgwtf.png twitch.gif

So Min Ho's sister didn't grow up with him? Min Ho mentioned something like "since you got back", but I thought initially that she went to university abroad, but maybe it was sooner than that. She doesn't know who Han Joo is, and since the fight between Min Ho and Han Joo was when they were teenagers, the sister was a child. Maybe they just didn't tell her, since she was young. That confused me a bit.

I thought that the thing with the house was not that old, like two decades old tops, but it seems like it's older than that, since both Min Ho and his sister said that they were born there.

I want to know more of the back story...

One wedding down, one to go.

Now Min Ho knows who Eun Byul is dating, so the poisoning will start.

The conversation that Hwang's family was having during dinner about kids and such, and Min Ho's mother already thinking about Geum Byul staying home and having kids...

Those scenes gave me a vibe that Geum Byul might have some trouble getting pregnant. She is sick often, so that might make things difficult for her. Also the pressure from the in-laws to have kids would add another layer to it.

OH MAN I HATE GEUM BYUL & THEIR MOTHER WITH A PASSION, I LEGIT SCREAMED IN REAL LIFE WHEN THESE 2 EVIL WITCHES STARTED B*TCHING AT EUN BYUL + THE MOTHER THROWING EUN BYUL'S BOOKS AROUND

O-HO! Does this mean Han Joo's family will get their house back? ahmagahplz.png

I think it's because the twins's family will learn the truth due to being connected to both families, they will learn from both sides and figure out what the truth is.

I'm expecting the house thing to only be fully resolved by mid-late or even right at the end of the drama.
