咖啡 å†ç»æ¯ã€€å›žæƒ³ã€€è¿™ä¸€åˆ‡

好多 的细节 譬如你嘟嘴 微笑的离别

窗外 的世界 霓虹 在交会

缤纷 整æ¡è¡— 我安é™äº†è§£ã€€æ²¡ä½ çš„感觉

kÄ fÄ“i / zài xù bÄ“i / huí xiÇŽng / zhè yÄ« qiè

hÇŽo duÅ / de xì jié / pì rú nÇ dÅ« zuÇ / wÄ“i xiào de lí bié

bÄ«n fÄ“n / zhÄ›ng tiáo jiÄ“ / wÇ’ Än jìng liÇŽo jiÄ› / méi nÇ de gÇŽn jué

Getting a refill of the coffee, reminisce about all of this.

So many details, such as your pouting, the smiles during [our] parting.

[in] the world outside the window, neon lights are converging,

Making the entire street dazzling and diverse. I quietly get to know the feeling of not having you.

纸鹤 你温柔对折 如爵士ä¹èˆ¬éšæ€§çš„å¿«ä¹

此刻 水清澈 远方的麦田金黄色

zhÇ hè / nÇ wÄ“n róu duì zhé / rú jué shì yuè bÄn suí xìng de kuài lè

cÇ kè / shuÇ qÄ«ng chè / yuÇŽn fÄng de mài tián jÄ«n huáng sè

You gently fold the paper crane in two, laid back in your happiness the way jazz music is.

In this moment, the water is clear [and] the wheat fields in the distance are golden yellow.

A thousand paper cranes[1], the story is still lukewarm. Casually, we start to sing.

I walk past; The herdsman's flute is playing lightly. That love [of ours] having walked till here—with a smile, will no longer contend [with you over it].

Oh, the feeling of mountains and rivers splashed out in ink. One page, the feeling of a colorful butterfly's previous life.

One page, the cycling of reincarnation through several lifetimes in the red dust[2]. Even upon rewriting, the predestined relationship [between us] in this life nonetheless becomes askew.

If time were to flow backwards, providing a second chance,

How to give a reason? With a " don't love [you] anymore", you think [everything] has been solved.

The perfume [bottle] that has been emptied, the roses that have withered,

have asked [you] for an entire night; with indolence, you behave atrociously, saying that it is exhausting to explain.

Perhaps letting you leave is merely changing the method of loving you.

Your beauty wanders between two eras.

Is there an age where two different aesthetics coexist?

Two different types of anticipation. I finally understand

Regardless of whether you love [me] or not, it is something unexpected, not something that should wait for.

Once you no longer love, then it is time for parting, leaving with no return.

The moss that covers the entirety of the stairs has spread to the old mottled wall.

[Late in the day,] the sun shines from the west, you are waiting for the lotus flowers[3] on the water to bloom.

Whereas I prefer us to stay in this tranquil state.

You made the choice [for] love to halt. I also decide to give it up.

(A song that has been sung a thousand times, happiness that flies past high up in the sky.)

Oh, the feeling of mountains and rivers splashed out in ink. One page, the feeling of a colorful butterfly's previous life.

One page, the cycling of reincarnation through several lifetimes in the red dust. Even upon rewriting, the predestined relationship [between us] in this life nonetheless becomes askew.

T/N:

[1] åƒçº¸é¹¤: Literally "thousand paper crane", it can actually simply refer to an origami paper crane, without the need for there to be a thousand of them. The reason for the close association with the number "one thousand" is the idea that it takes one thousand paper cranes for one to make a wish come true.

[2] 红尘: Literally "red dust", this term metaphorically refers to the ordinary world of  mankind. When horses and carriages passed over the unpaved earthen roads in the olden days, dust would rise. These 'roads' represented the figurative roads to fame and fortune that the common man pursues.

[3] 芙蓉: This term does not refer to a specific species of flower and so it's hard to translate. Normally, I would have said "hibiscus", but with the context of it being on water, I believe it is referring to the lotus.
