So, as always I haven't updated in a million years, so thank you to those of you who provided a few necessary updates! 

 

So, as y'all may have heard, Happyface Entertainment has officially changed their name to Dreamcatcher Company. I will admit I'm still not entirely sure how it's all set up, yet. 

 

This Namu Wiki entry for Dreamcatcher Company lists all the boys as trainees under the company and as I've read somewhere, from someone before, the main/parent company is Dreamcatcher Company. HNB will then have their own sub-label that will manage their debut and future promotions.

However, what I had originally understood (and others, as well) was that HF was simply splitting into separate companies in order to better manage their groups individually. Their official announcement about it said that the new company would have HNB's official group name in the company name (like Dreamcatcher Company: [HNB] Company) so, I had assumed each artist would have their own sub-label. 

 

 

 

Anyway, since i'm not 100% on either one of these, if anyone is, do let us know. Although, I am fairly certain it's the first of the 2 options I mentioned.

I agree. I understand that maybe they had reasons for not including them in the final line-up but the whole idea of the monthly fan meetings with all the current and former members was just...not good. It made fans fall in love with the entire group when really, it was never guaranteed that they would all debut together. Back when Woncheol and Hyungjin left the company, they had decided to only show those trainees who were confirmed for debut and I wish they had continued doing that. It would've saved us so much heartbreak. Instead, they showed Kosuke, Jungwoo, Hyunsik and Junhyeong right along with the other members and made us believe they were going to debut as well. 

 

I know HF means well. As a Dreamcatcher fan, I've seen all the good things they've done for them and how much effort they've put into their re-debut and promotions so I know they have good intentions in mind. However, I also know they can make very stupid decisions...and this was one of them. They really, really messed up when it came to the boys so I can only hope they're willing to do their best, and only the very best for them from here on forward.

On March 18th, 2019 at 11PM KST, there will be a survey to choose HNB's official group name. 

Meanwhile, MyMusicTaste and Happyface encourage fans to Make HNB's campaigns.

I would recommend against asking people who don't live in a city where there's a campaign currently being held or who don't have actual intentions of even going to the a future, possible concert simply because, even if the goal is met, tickets may not sell well. I don't think a concert outside of Korea is possible right now (even the campaign for Seoul is far from the goal, at the moment) but if you're going to request a city, please try to only have people in the area and people who are willing to travel there for a concert 'make' the campaign. Let's only have it show real, authentic interest and not rush to meet the goal and then have to have a concert cancelled because of low sales. (DC had this problem with their Indonesia concert, so I would hope this doesn't happen to the boys in the future.)

I'm usually just talking to myself here, but in case someone is actually reading this, did y'all vote for the name? 

 

 

I personally went for J1GG although, I liked D1CE more. I didn't pick D1CE, however, because of the way it'll be pronounced. I would've preferred for it to be said as DICE, but it would be D-ONCE and I really didn't want their name associated with any other fandoms or groups. 

 

I also didn't like IVI because I know there was a temporary girl group from P101 with the name IBI and, yeah, same reasons as above. 

 

The Thing I hated altogether. 

Be Be was just bland. 

VP was alright, but I think it's a bit too boring. 

 

So my last choice was J1GG. I think it's the most unique after D1CE. 

But by the looks of it, D1CE will end up being the winner.

Hyunsik is a participant on Produce 101 Season 4. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unless there are more trainees from Happyface participating on P101, I will post Hyunsik's updates on the show here. if there are more trainees, then I'll probably make a separate thread for HF male trainees as this one will end up being solely for the debuting group. Until then, like I said, updates on Hyunsik can be found here!
